Greece welcomed around 35 million tourists in 2024, and the strain on certain islands and historic sites has been growing for years. 🇬🇷
The new national framework introduces a zoning system to spread that pressure more evenly and protect environmentally and culturally sensitive areas.
The goal is to make Greek tourism more sustainable without simply closing the door to visitors.
