My old team were a bit low on players & I’ve never fully let go of the idea of playing again. I felt I could still compete physically & today I put that to the test.

Felt great playing & loved being part of the team again (Chester Romans) . . . back home & feeling my age now though 😬

Back in Action 💪🏼

After last weeks set back 🤕(mentioned in previous post) I just managed to get the deleted Cali 3.0 workout re-filmed ready for next weeks scheduled release!

Skin on face recovered so fast you can hardly tell👌🏼

Going to try & start back with better balance rather than go full steam as usual but very happy to get Cali 3.0 all ready for scheduled release.

In the words of Rocky “The world ain’t all sunshine & rainbows”

I’d like to say my face was messed up by an epic boxing match but I actually just fainted (for first time ever) whilst ill with a fever & face-planted the carpet.

I’ve not been ill since closing down my gym back in November 2025 which is a record for me. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I got ill after a build up of challenging events/times (some positive self imposed & some external) all coming together at one time.

Social media is often just a highlight reel but I hesitantly thought this might be also worth sharing to bring some balance & realism into the picture.

I’m still going to be posting weekly YouTube content & looking forward to the release of Cali 3.0 in the TPT studio with week 1 out this Monday. However, I’ve also put in an personal plan to focus on recovery & balance.

A couple of days ago I was trying to send one of the week 2 Cali 3.0 workouts to my editor & discovered I’d deleted it by mistake when clearing space. I’m going to re-film it later next week once my face is looking a bit less raw & I’ve got some energy back so it will be out in time for scheduled release.

Let’s see how good my wife’s make up skills are & if you’re following Cali 3.0, see if you can spot the re-filmed workout.

No deeper message behind this post other than there are two sides to health/fitness: training & recovery. Make sure you’re paying attention to both.
