🌿 Welcome to Allotmentjoy – my little slice of garden paradise here in the UK!
I’m Elaine, and I look after three half-sized allotment plots where I grow everything from fresh fruits and seasonal veggies to stunning flowers – and yes, even giant vegetables!
This channel is all about sharing the joy of gardening and the simple pleasures that come with it. You'll find videos packed with practical tips, planting inspiration, and even some homegrown cooking! From pantry staples to easy, wholesome recipes – there’s something here for everyone, whether you’re a green-fingered pro or just starting out.
For me, the allotment is more than a garden – it’s a place to unwind, have fun, and reconnect with nature. That’s what Allotmentjoy is all about, and I’d love for you to come along for the journey.
🌱 Let’s grow something amazing together!

I was a bit puzzled what exactly has come up on the plot. It was with the other alliums but strangely, this is different. It called Allium siculum or Sicilian Honey Garlic or Mediterranean Bells. Probably got accidentally mixed in with some alliums I bought. Neat!! 🌸

As forecasted, hail today and tomorrow. Last frost date here second week in May.
Air temperature is one thing but how warm is the soil getting? Ten degrees is a good starting point. Temperatures are going up in the next few days.
Keep the faith 🙏 😁🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

Chillies and peppers moving day. Down to the allotment and straight into the greenhouse. Just the very tall ones to come down. No room in the car. They will definately get the VIP treatment 😁🌶🫑

I'm never one to give up on my onions. Time for my spares to get a home. An onion is an onion laugh 😆

It pays to look around your garden for random calendula, nasturtiums, tomatoes and violas etc. Look what I discovered, free celery plants. The seed had fallen and germinated. Never mind the celery plants in the greenhouse grown from seed lol. 🌱🌱🌱🌱😁

Pulling out all available fleece. Might be overkill but I'd rather err on the side of caution. Potatoes, strawberries plus my Cornish giant which is going to seed. Dahlias are in the greenhouse. ❄️🍓🥔😁
