Got comments about the “STURDY” act which mandates that dressers must not tip over with the drawers loaded and fully extened and a kid trying to climb up the front. This requires a mechanism to only allow one drawer to topen at a time, and a heavy weight in the back to comply. Or just make the drawers not open very far and with less capacity. And if they don’t open far, no need to make them deep either.
So for safety’s sake, simple inexpensive and effective dressers have been outlawed.
