How to Power BI
"Almost" is the worst place to be.
Stakeholders forgive a calculation mistake. Because that's an easy fix.
They don't forgive "almost" finding what they need. It is frustrating, infuriating and it makes them immediately feel like they've wasted time searching to leave with nothing.
Most of it comes down to one skill: choosing what and how to show.
4 simple question that help a lot:
➝ What's the one number they open the report for? Start with it.
➝ Is this "need to know" or "nice to know"? First cut the nice-to-know.
➝ Does the default view answer the most common question? If not, fix it.
➝ Would removing a chart change anything? If no, remove it.

My first YouTube videos got maybe 40 views.
I kept going. Week after week. I hoped it would be useful for more than 40 people.
6.5 years later, my YouTube channel will soon reach 1M subscribers. Shocking.
However, contrary to the popular belief, it was unfortunately not a one viral video that got it there🤣
It was countless ideas (some better than others), hours of recordings and days of editing.
