What would you do if following Jesus meant losing the support of your own family?
Marie (18) and Rosaline (17) made that choice. After becoming Christians, they faced rejection, intimidation, and even the loss of food from family members determined to force them back to their former beliefs.
Yet they remain steadfast.
"God exists, and His kindness never ends," Marie said.
A 77-year-old pastor is among 31 Christians recently sentenced to prison in China. These believers were involved in ministry among ethnic minority communities when authorities launched a crackdown on their church network. Sentences range from 28 to 48 months.
While many of us can gather freely for worship each week, these Christians now face years of imprisonment because of their faith and ministry.
Hundreds of Nigerians abducted during a Boko Haram attack have been freed after months in captivity, marking one of the largest hostage releases in the region in recent years.
While communities are celebrating the return of survivors, many continue to face the lasting effects of violence, displacement, and trauma.
Let's praise the Lord for those who have been released, and pray for healing, protection, and lasting peace across Nigeria.
Across the Himalayan region, Christian believers often live in remote and impoverished communities where churches are scarce or non-existent. In these areas, followers of Christ frequently experience isolation, discrimination and persecution because of their faith. In response, our long-term project partners support persecuted believers by ensuring access to God’s Word and Christian resources.
In 2025, the ministry distributed thousands of New Testaments, full Bibles, gospel tracts and audio Scripture resources to believers and seekers across the region. These materials were often delivered through personal visits, particularly to low-literacy communities, where audio Bibles and Scripture-loaded SD cards provided vital access to the gospel.
Through this work, persecuted Christians were strengthened in their faith, isolated believers were encouraged, and new fellowships were formed in villages where there had previously been no Christian presence.
What began as an anniversary trip became a year-long journey of suffering, faith, and extraordinary courage.
Throughout captivity, Martin Burnham chose gratitude over bitterness, service over self-preservation, and faith over fear.
Today we remember not only how he died, but how he lived: encouraging others, sharing the gospel, and remaining steadfast in Christ until the very end.
CENTRAL ASIA: Pastor Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison
A young pastor has been sentenced to eight years in prison for conducting Christian ministry after launching a local church. Authorities arrested him soon after his work began, and he now remains incarcerated while his wife and children face financial hardship. Supporters are urging prayer for his strength in prison, for provision for his family, and for encouragement for the church he served.
UKRAINE: A Russian Shahed drone has severely damaged The Light of the Gospel Church in Balakliia, sparking a fire that destroyed much of the building. Pastor Alexander and others were inside at the time but survived without injury. The church, which serves as a major centre for worship, youth ministry, and humanitarian work, has now lost its roof and much of its equipment. Despite the devastation, believers gathered the next morning in the burned-out building to pray and begin cleanup.
