Hi friends, 👋
I’ve been seeing a lot of new faces around here lately, so I figured I should properly introduce myself.
I’m manicpot8to (aka Channa), and I’ve been playing The Sims for over a decade now.
I used to work in hospice care, but these days I’m a homemaker and full-time creative. I’ve had this page for years, though I stepped away from posting publicly for a while. I was still around behind the scenes helping run some of your favorite Sims spaces.
I’m chronically ill and neurodivergent, and The Sims (and this community) has been a really fun escape from the heavier parts of day-to-day life.
These days I mainly share builds that are meant to be *played in*, not just looked at. I love creating spaces that feel lived in, cozy, and a little bit story driven.
Lately I’ve been experimenting more with cinematic builds, trailers, and a bit of stop motion to really bring things to life.

I finally took the plunge and installed ReShade today and made my very first preset.
A lot of the presets I see out there are gorgeous, but they tend to be a bit exaggerated for my personal taste. I really wanted something more subtle that just enhances the lighting and colors without changing the overall look of the game too much.
So, I spent a little time tweaking things until it felt right to me.
Honestly, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out for a first attempt. 🙂
If anyone would like to try the preset I made, let me know and I’ll make sure it’s accessible for you guys.
