Thanks to Certified Pharmacy Tech, Diane Straub, these two babies are ready to celebrate Independence Day in style! We would like to send a special shoutout to Diane for her heartfelt gesture of crocheting themed hats for newborns in the Family Birthing Center during certian holidays. Recently, she crafted adorable Fourth of July-themed hats: Betsy Ross inspired designs for girls and Uncle Sam hats for boys. Dianeβs creativity and generosity has not only brought smiles to the faces of new parents, but has also created lasting memories for families welcoming their little ones into the world at The Bellevue Hospital. Her commitment to spreading joy and warmth through her handmade creations truly exemplifies the compassionate spirit that defines our healthcare community.

The Bellevue Hospital Foundation (TBHF) recently presented awards to the top female and male athletes at Bellevue High School. Formerly known as the Gazette Awards, the trophies have been sponsored and presented by TBHF since 2017.
TBHF Director Dennis Sabo recently presented the trophies to BHS Junior Brooke Brown, and Senior Cody Lindsey after a vote by coaches and administrators at the high school.
Brown has earned eight varsity letters to date, three each in volleyball and track and field, and two in basketball. She is the daughter of Laura and B.J. Brown.
Lindsey earned seven varsity letters during his time at BHS, three in golf and two each in basketball and baseball. He is the son of Jessica and Jeremy Lindsey.
βThe Bellevue Hospital Foundation is proud to sponsor these trophies,β said Sabo. βThe entire Family of The Bellevue Hospital congratulates both Brooke and Cody for their accomplishments both on the athletic fields and in the classroom. We wish Cody continued success at the collegiate level and Brown during her upcoming Senior year at BHS.β
Lindsey will continue his baseball career at Terra State Community College.
The male Gazette Award has been presented annually since 1951, while the female award has been presented since 1976.
