🇰🇭✈️ Cambodia Airways joins the ATR family!

Cambodia Airways has this month taken delivery of its first ATR 72-600, with a second aircraft due later this year.

The airline, based in Phnom Penh, is Cambodia's largest private carrier by passenger traffic and plans to use the new turboprops to expand regional services across Southeast Asia. While its larger jets continue serving China and longer international routes, the ATR 72-600 will focus on shorter regional flights where efficiency and frequency are key.

The ATR 72-600 burns around 45% less fuel and produces 45% less CO₂ than comparable regional jets, making it one of the most efficient aircraft operating in the region today. It's also a favourite among aviation enthusiasts thanks to its large windows, excellent views, and distinctive turboprop experience.

As someone who enjoys trying different aircraft types and airlines, this could make for an interesting future review from Phnom Penh.
