@olacab @OlaCabsHyd is not at all concerned about women's safety. Today at 9 pm I took ola auto from Phoenix Mall Velachery to my home in Saidapet Chennai. Driver name P Vigneshwaran, auto no. TN07BL7915. At Pavalavannan subway he stopped his auto saying that there is no gas in auto anymore and asked me to take another auto. He demanded that I pay him full amt INR 118/- which was ola fare from Phoenix velachery till my home. I told him very patiently that I will pay him INR 70/- only coz from that point (Pavalavannan subway) till my home the next auto will charge me INR 50/-. He started abusing me and tried snatching my bag demanding full cash and blocked my way just to stop me from getting out. While he was snatching my bag, I did hold it tightly so he tried pulling my hand. By that time I had completely lost on him and I asked him "How dare did you touch me? Step back right now". He tried making hostile gestures like he raised his hand just to threaten me that he will slap me. I took his auto no. plate pic, his picture. I already had his number. I told him am going to the police station and am going to launch a complaint against him in police station. When I told him this he said "ok go and launch, I don't care. " This was his attitude.
When I tried registering complaint with Ola nobody answered their toll free no. When I went to the Ola complaint section on the app it just asked me to click on driver's rude behavior option and submit... That's all. They didn't take any action against him.
Then I went to J1 Saidapet Police station and gave a written complaint against him to SI A KALVIYARASAN. The complaint is taken and the further updates on it I will keep posting. The reason am writing this post coz I want woman to come forward and take action in such cases like I just did, don't keep quite. Also I want Ola to see this post and take action against him. I don't understand what kind of screening Ola does before choosing Auto drivers especially in Chennai.
