I have an update on Hogs of War, for those of you who watched my GOG Summer Sale recommendations video. Although the GOG version will likely boot up, it will be mostly unplayable. You need to track down an unofficial patch that makes the game playable - which is great. Unfortunately, this unofficial patch also makes the game invulnerable to all of my tricks to get it to run in such a way that I could stream it, with my current setup, so alas, no Hogs of War stream this Saturday, though as you might have noticed, I have something already scheduled. Another issue with Hogs of War on the PC is that the enemy porkers will simply NOT MOVE from their spawn points. They will attack you, but will not move around the map. The PS1 version has enemies that will move around the map but it seems their AI is really crap at aiming, as opposed to the PC version pig AI which apparently is way better at aiming. Anyway, these are all things I found out yesterday while troubleshooting the game, I thought I should share with anyone looking forward to a Hogs of War stream anytime soon, which is a shame because the voice acting and lines are absolutely pig-comedy gold!
