Baobab Roots Collective

Baobab Roots Collective creates original African roots-inspired music shaped by the sounds, languages, voices, and acoustic traditions of Sub-Saharan Africa.

Across songs and series, the project explores roots from West, Southern, Central, and Southeastern Africa — including Southern African choir harmonies, West African kora music, Shona mbira melodies, desert-inspired rhythms, hand percussion, call-and-response vocals, and local-language refrains in isiZulu, isiXhosa, Wolof, Mandinka, Shona, Chichewa/Nyanja, Lingala, and others.

Rather than one fixed genre, Baobab Roots Collective is a growing collection of warm, emotional, communal, acoustic, and uplifting music — from short vocal songs to longer mixes for peace, focus, reflection, and calm.

This is an AI-assisted music project, created with care and respect for the traditions that inspire it.

Music for peace, home, gratitude, resilience, memory, nature, dignity, healing, focus, and connection.
