This channel is mostly about electric vehicles and aims to help those who are considering an EV or to help owners with theirs, whether that is using it, fixing or servicing it, plus reviews of accessories. Also as I drive around the UK, I review the UK charging infrastructure and report on new EV charging installations.
I've been driving EVs for 9+ years and the channel has been best known for the content on some of my own personal cars - Renault Zoe, Hyundai Ioniq Electric, Tesla Model S and Tesla Model Y, plus others.

In the latest video https://youtu.be/io_q3Om4y7I, I fit these emergency door pull cords in my Tesla Model Y. But are they really needed?
The worry is that if the car loses power, you can't open the doors from the inside. The front doors have an obvious manual lever, but the rear doors only have a hidden cable tucked away in the bottom of the door pocket. People assume the whole car dies in a crash, but that’s not how Teslas work. Even when the airbags deploy and the high voltage battery gets cut by the pyrotechnic fuse, the low voltage (12V or 16V) battery stays live — and that’s what powers the door releases. So the chances of the doors actually losing power in a survivable crash are pretty slim.
But they're cheap and give peace of mind, particularly if you have kids in the back. But then that opens up potential other problems which I explain in the video https://youtu.be/io_q3Om4y7I

Why your Tesla range doesn't match the website!
When you order your Tesla, the quoted range is from the WLTP test. But in the car, the range is from the EPA test, which is lower. But the real world range depends on many factors, primarily your driving and the temperature.
Many new Tesla owners don't understand this and then are upset that they don't get the range they were expecting.
Changes in the Spring update 2026.14 address the confusion by introducing a predicted range which can be displayed while you're driving.
The latest video https://youtu.be/0OmeVKDRhH0 explains it all.

The first Tesla toilets arrive in the UK and are opening very soon. So I hope this is the start of adding amenity blocks with toilers and vending to other Supercharger sites. See https://youtu.be/K4qPnZVTPuw for the details.

In the latest video I show you how to use reminders with Grok in your Tesla.
There's more to this than you first realise, so this video should give you some ideas of how you can use it.

The latest video https://youtu.be/z_LeBa97Niw is to help new visitors to the Oxford EV hub within the Redbridge Park & Ride. I see drivers struggling to find the entrance, driving in through the exit and then paying for parking and not getting their free 1 hour ticket for EV charging. So this explains it all.

Tesla just released the big Spring 2026 update, software version 2026.14. While the official release notes cover the main features, I've found several smaller changes that didn't get mentioned. The latest video covers these undocumented changes - https://youtu.be/8l8m3tP_tVA

Have you noticed I've been trying to improve the thumbnails on the channel over the last week or so?
They now have more readable and bolder text. But they'll always continue to be a photo or a frame from the video.
The latest video https://youtu.be/4vYHkFLx_bw is a thumbnail I'm quite pleased with (for someone who has no graphic skills). The new thumbnail is the top image and the bottom is how it would have been before.
I'd welcome your feedback. You can see the new thumbnails on the last few week's worth of videos at youtube.com/@GoGreenAutos/videos and click on Latest.

M4 Chieveley services is getting a huge EV charger upgrade, which doubles capacity at this site. There are no public announcements yet from Gridserve, but all the groundworks and equipment installation is done. But there's still some connecting up to do! See https://youtu.be/eoB7QQyfbeA for all the information.
