I love reviewing more budget tech, but more than that, I love fixing tech!

Hi! my name is Yang, the Tech Rodent, a Tech Enthusiast, Reviewer and Repairer that is based in Malaysia.

I enjoy looking at more niche products, not necessarily big brand products, because I feel that it's there that the is the most interesting, and that's where people want to more about as well.

Have been exceedingly busy the past 6 months between moving to a new place, falling sick 4 times, family members being pretty dangerously sick during those times and me just being swamped with work in general.

I'm hoping to get back into the swing of making content soon again (helps my sanity too) so I hope y'all are still there to stick around for them when I do!

Just a quick update on the hiatus!

My first time seeing someone who managed to blow up his headphones by plugging the 3.5mm cable into the wall outlet.

I've just published a new video about me repairing a Nintendo Switch!

The latest video uses a more candid/ unscripted approach to my repair videos, I'm wondering what kind of repair style do you guys prefer to see, or would you rather I do more reviews 😋

I'm thinking whether I should upload my repair videos onto a separate channel, with maybe a bit more simpler production values, what do you guys think?

Remember how I talked about how the review unit of this keyboard was a nightmare to assemble?

Yeah, now multiple rows of the RGB backlight is dead.

Seriously the furthest thing from a good buy in my head and it isn't even cheap.

Remember that your AIO loops need TLC ladies and gentlemen; you can get some pretty nasty build ups.

Also, sorry for the hiatus, you know, life and stuff, but I do have content planned for release in the coming weeks, including a new AIO as well, so stay tuned!

I don't have any fancy photos or taglines here, so here's a photo of my new daughter enjoying MSI's Lucky's company.

Have a great year peeps! May 2021 be better than 2020 (admittedly it's not a high bar)

A new way to further improve the temperature reading accuracies of my reviews.

While IR guns are good at reading temperatures, they fall flat when it comes to shiny/glossy surfaces and have large variance in readings based on the angle at which it's shone at.

With a K-type thermocouple, I can easily and more accurately measure the temperatures for all sorts of things like laptop surface temps, cooler temperatures and VRM Temperatures.

An interesting procurement!

Learning from my previous endeavours with liquid metal, I'm now using gloss coat to coat the SMDs around the die.

How many of you have tried using liquid metal in your systems?
