As someone involved in Christian music, what is success? For me, success is not measured by how many likes or views I get, how many times my songs are streamed or downloaded, or whether my music reaches the charts. I get bombarded by promoters — easily more than twenty — offering to push my music, but that’s not what I’m looking for. Yes, God has gifted me to sing, write, record, and minister to people, but success is not about what I can accomplish on my own. In fact, it’s not about me at all. It’s not my ministry — it’s the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Success is allowing God to use me for His purpose, letting the music become a mission to reach people, and giving the Holy Spirit complete freedom to do what He wants whenever I sing, play, preach, or lead special events. Success is simply this: to make Jesus known and to create space for people to encounter Him.
