💬 And if you’re thinking about painting — just start. Don’t overthink. Your subject can be anything around you — a house, a window, a tree, or even a street corner. Art doesn’t have to be perfect — watercolors especially have a mind of their own. They’ll flow where they want, and sometimes things get muddy — that’s part of the charm!

I hope your week has been gentle, inspiring, and a little bit messy—in the best way.
I know many of you are working on beautiful things—whether it’s painting, journaling, or simply making space to breathe. And if you haven’t picked up your brush in a while… this is your sign to just start. Don’t wait for perfect. Painting is a journey of trying, making mistakes, and slowly watching something beautiful unfold.
This piece began with a blank page and a blurry idea—just some light washes of color, layers of greens and browns, and a feeling. Slowly, I built the scene. I gave it texture. Movement. A soft evening light. And in the end, it was the pen that tied it all together, bringing in the fine lines and whispers of life.
