Hampta Pass has a beautiful surprise before the pass — Balu Ka Ghera.

At around 12,000 ft, this campsite opens into a wide green valley dotted with wildflowers, glacial streams, misty trails, and dramatic mountain walls. It’s one of those sections of the trek that instantly reminds you of the Valley of Flowers, only with Hampta’s own raw Himalayan charm.

Known as the last campsite before the pass crossing, Balu Ka Ghera is where the trail feels softer, slower, and unexpectedly full of colour before turning rugged again.
