Trade with the trend

Wait for high-probability setups

overtrade,
use huge lot sizes,
revenge trade,
or try to predict every move.

A simple framework that works better than complicated systems:

1. Follow the higher timeframe trend

Use:

4H timeframe = trend direction
15M or 5M = entry

If price is making:

higher highs + higher lows → only look for buys
lower highs + lower lows → only look for sells

Do not fight the trend.

2. Use one simple setup only

Example:

EMA Trend Strategy
50 EMA above 200 EMA → buy only
Wait for price to pull back
Enter when candle rejects EMA and continues trend

This removes emotional trading.

3. Risk management is everything

Most profitable traders survive because of risk control.

A good rule:

risk only 1–2% per trade

Even with only a 50–60% win rate, you can grow steadily.

Example:

Win: +2R
Loss: -1R

You can lose many trades and still stay profitable.

4. Trade less

The highest-quality trades usually come:

during London session
or New York open

One good trade is enough.

Many beginners take 10 bad trades trying to force profits.

5. Master psychology

The market punishes:

greed
fear
impatience

Professional traders think in probabilities, not certainty.

No setup is 100%.

A very simple gold strategy many intraday traders use:

Identify H1 trend
Wait for pullback into support/resistance
Enter with confirmation candle
Risk-reward minimum 1:2

Example math:

1 loss=−1R,1 win=+2R

You only need to win about 40%+ to grow over time.

The hard truth:
There is no “easy money” in trading.
The closest thing to easy is:

strict discipline,
simple strategy,
controlled risk,
patience.
