If we haven’t met before.. hi, I’m Kayleigh. After living overseas for nearly 10 years, I’ve returned home and bought a 26ft sailboat to explore Scotland.
Over the next few months I’ll be sharing stories from the sea, with the hope of encouraging others to get outdoors, connect with nature and set off on their own adventures.

⛵️ I’ve been working on next week’s video, but thought I’d give you a wee update while I’m online.
This week has been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I spent five days in Largs Marina working on the boat and managed to get a few things fixed, which was great. But I also managed to crash the boat… twice.
Thankfully there wasn’t any major damage, but if I’m honest, it really knocked my confidence. I’m getting over it now, and I’ll talk a bit more about what happened in the next video. I guess it’s all part of the learning curve when you’re figuring things out on your own.
The good news is that I’ve officially set off for the Isle of Arran today, and it feels great to be moving again. Looking forward to spending some time at anchor, exploring, and maybe even getting in the water for a snorkel. 🤿
See you in the next video ❤️
PS I learned how to splice yay!

⛵️ Currently working on the next video, and there’s lots to look forward to!
I’ll be heading to Largs Marina to figure out why my boat wouldn’t start, sharing the not so great moment I managed to crash into the pontoon, and introducing an exciting new non-profit called Ocean Drifters.
I spent the day volunteering with them, helping get more people involved in citizen science and marine conservation. It was an amazing experience, and I learned so much about our oceans and marine life 🌊

It’s safe to say I’ve learned a few lessons this week, both about sailing and about the incredible marine environment we’re lucky enough to have here in Scotland.
Stay tuned! ❤️

This week I'm spending some time back home on the Isle of Cumbrae. After more than 10 years living in Australia, I'm starting to realise just how much I took this place for granted.
In this video, I'll share a bit about why I moved back to Scotland, give you a tour of my floating home, tackle a few boat jobs, and explain how I recently managed to lose an anchor!
I'll also be exploring the island by land and sea, revisiting some of my favourite spots and rediscovering what makes this place so great!!

Would you watch an ASMR style sailing video? No talking, just the sounds of the sea, wind, sails, and some relaxing music. Or do you prefer my usual vlog style adventures? 🎥

A huge thank you to everyone who’s watched my latest video ❤️
It’s been amazing reading your comments and hearing your own stories about moving away from home.
If you enjoyed the video and know someone who might relate to it, I’d really appreciate it if you shared it with a friend or on Facebook. Every share helps the channel grow and supports future adventures aboard my wee boat.
And as always, 10% of revenue from this video will go towards marine conservation projects in Scotland 🌊
If you haven’t already, I’d love to hear your story below. Have you ever lived away from home?👇

If you'd prefer to watch these videos ad-free, I've made that available through my Patreon. It's a great way to support what I'm doing and helps me keep creating content from the journey. I also write a free weekly newsletter called The Sailor's Diary. It's where I share the stories that don't always make it into the videos, along with updates from the boat, lessons learned along the way, and a few thoughts from life at sea.
Looking after the oceans is a big part of why I do this, so 10% of all profits are donated to marine conservation projects.

Another video is finished and ready for release this Sunday at 9am! After living in Australia for just over 10 years, I’m beginning to realise just how much I took this place for granted. I’ll be exploring my home island (Isle of Cumbrae), revisiting some of my favourite places from when I was a kid and taking you on a mini tour of my floating home. See you Sunday at 9am! ⛵️😊

Did you know that 10% of earnings from this channel are donated to marine conservation projects in Scotland?
But why is this important to me?
I’ve spent most of my life living and working near the ocean, and I’ve seen firsthand how fragile this environments can be. I’ve witnessed coral bleaching on parts of the Great Barrier Reef that were once full of life, and vast urchin barrens in Tasmania where thriving kelp forests have disappeared.
The ocean has given me so much, so supporting projects that help protect and restore it is one small way I can give something back.
If you’d like to support both the channel and these conservation efforts, please consider sharing with a friend 🌊

My wee channel has grown a bit over the last few weeks, so I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has watched.
I put a lot of time and effort into making these videos and try to focus not just on the sailing, but also the wildlife, nature, and places I’m lucky enough to travel through.
I’m very grateful for all the support and for everyone who has taken the time to watch my videos 🙏
