There was a time before the cult I was raised in stripped me of my soul & purpose. There was a time before I felt “owned” by the men in my life. There was a time before being SA’d & abused by so many men that stole my very being. There was a time before all that “stuff” happened when I was pure, happy & innocent. When I see this picture it makes me remember how whole I was at one time in my life. It gives me hope in healing all of the things to find that little girl again that just giggles in pictures. That thinks silly things are funny just to laugh again. Healing does so much for my soul. My mom, me & my sister. I’m 20 years old here & was about to make an attempt to choose out of life. I was sad & anything had to be better than the life I felt I had no choice but to live. I loved being a mother however. I was stuck in the hardest decision of my life. My religion said I had no choice. I had to have sister wives. I had to obey my husband. I had no choice in my life.
