Willow's Way
Meet Willow, a curious beagle-silky terrier mix with a big personality and a love for adventure. Follow along as we share short videos of her daily discoveries, woodland wanderings, and the occasional cameo from her cat and dog siblings.
After Willow was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, I began recording our walks as a way to keep a journal of our time together. These videos are a celebration of the little moments we share in nature every day.
Along the way, I share the birds we hear during each walk — especially in spring, when the woods come alive with birdsong.

A quick Murphy update for those who enjoy seeing him waiting for Willow and me at the end of our walks. 💙
Murphy went to the vet today because of a small cough. X-rays showed that he has an enlarged heart, which is pressing on his trachea, and some fluid on his lungs. He starts on a diuretic tomorrow.
The X-rays also revealed some old injuries to ribs and a shoulder that occurred before he came to live with me.
At 16 years old, Murphy is still very much Murphy—following me everywhere, supervising everything, and making sure Willow and I don't stay gone too long.
Thank you to everyone who enjoys seeing him in our videos. I know he has a few fans. 🐶 💙 🐾

Today is Monday, October 27. There may not be a video tomorrow. We start our days an hour earlier on Mondays and it's just so dark when we walk. I don't care for the flashlight video walks so I didn't record this morning. If we get a chance to get another walk this morning, I'll take a video.
