🚨 Consumer Alert: The Dark Side of Policy Aggregators like Policybazaar 🚨

Insurance is built on trust. But what happens when the platform you trust the most starts playing tricks? Over the past few months, Policybazaar, one of India's largest insurance aggregators, has come under serious scrutiny. Here’s a quick breakdown of the verified issues customers have faced — and why we need to talk about this.

⚠️ Verified Scams and Allegations

1. Mis-selling & False Promises
Agents pushing policies with fabricated benefits (e.g., claiming full OPD coverage that didn’t exist). When claims are denied, the agents conveniently vanish.

2. Unauthorized Deductions
Regular premium deductions made — but policies not forwarded to insurers. Result? Policies lapsed without customers even knowing.

3. Delays in Policy Issuance
Payments collected. Weeks go by. No policy document. No support. Just excuses.

4. Pressure Tactics
Endless spam calls. Threats to cancel policies if customers don’t switch to new plans. In some cases, verbal tricks and pressures have been reported.

5. Data Privacy Nightmare
In July 2022, 50+ million users’ data was compromised in a breach admitted by Policybazaar itself.

6. Regulatory Fines
₹24 lakh fine by IRDAI in 2021 over advertising violations — a clear indicator of non-compliance.

🛡️ What Can You Do?

Double-check policies with the insurer directly before paying.

Avoid buying under pressure.

Document every communication with agents.

Use grievance redressal channels — escalate to IRDAI or Insurance Ombudsman if needed.

🤔 Why Does This Matter?

Insurance is a long-term financial safety net. One wrong policy can cost you more than money — it can cost you peace of mind during emergencies.

It’s time we demand more transparency, better regulation, and stronger digital ethics from platforms that deal with our most sensitive financial decisions.

Hello Everyone,

I've got scammed by Airtel Black.
#AirtelBlackScam

Yeah. Airtel did this to me. (The Airtel company did this to me)

Lots of hidden charges and GST manipulations for the channels you didn't know you have added.

They mislead us with 30 day channel packs (not aligned with bill cycle) and non bill cycle mismatch charges and additional GST as "other charges".

There are some channels don't follow any single standard cycle. And once you add a channel, it will be billed for more than one time in a bill cycle. And some times for lifetime unless you call customer care and guess what, there is no customer care number in the Airtel app and the chat creates irrelevant options and closes the chat without connecting with an agent.

If you have elderly or disabled or kids or anyone who can't read the tv messages before they click on some purchase option, Airtel will notify you when activated in the app and a message. If you by mistake don't read or clear notification or forgot to tend to it later, prepare for getting looted by Airtel bill.

I'm sure most of the customers are being looted at least 250 ₹monthly and can't dispute with customer support as they say "sorry for this we will take this as feedback to improve our services"
