We want to take a moment to thank our fan and community member ‪‪@yukabunny‬ for bringing this to our attention. Not only did they help us catch the issue, but they also went above and beyond to help improve the new plushie design.

We also want to acknowledge that we were wrong in assuming AI hadn’t been used, and we sincerely apologize for that. We especially want to apologize to Yuka for initially doubting their concerns, thank you for insisting and helping us get to the truth.

We’ll always take responsibility and be transparent. Even if this wasn’t directly our mistake, it’s still on us to make sure everything we put out is right and to respect the artists behind the work.

We’re really grateful for this community, thanks to you, we can catch things, fix them, and do better. Thankfully, this has now been resolved, and it’s largely thanks to ‪‪@yukabunny‬

For full transparency, and thanks to ‪@yukabunny‬ for bringing this to our attention, I just spoke with the artist from PlushieBuddies and this is what they told me:

“For more transparency I sketched out the drawings and hired a freelancer to finish them and I assumed it was not AI.

I contacted that person to see what is going on but nonetheless we are changing that design and I am never working with him. Should be done in a few hours or today. Thank you so much for the update and I am too upset about this

You can let everyone know this is being taken seriously and being handled”

So, We’re honestly a bit surprised and very mad by the situation, but the design was originally created by them, and it seems another artist may have finalized it. Either way, we’re taking this very seriously, and as soon as we have more information, we’ll keep you all updated.
