🌑⛈️🌬️🌪️ The threat for supercells capable of large hail and perhaps a strong tornado or two will be likely today from northern New York into northern Vermont and northwest Maine.

Isolated strong storms capable of hail and severe gusts will also be possible across portions of central Montana, while yet again general showers and thunderstorms are likely across the majority of The West and Southern Tier of the nation.

🌘⛈️🌬️☔ While isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across the majority of The Southern Tier of the nation this afternoon/evening, the greatest threat for severe damaging winds and hail will focus across southern Missouri, extreme northeast Oklahoma, north-central Arkansas, west-central Tennessee, northern Mississippi/Alabama, and near The Mississippi/Ohio River Confluence. An isolated tornado or two may also occur near The Confluence & vicinity.

Another focus area across southeast Arizona will also see an elevated threat for severe damaging winds this afternoon.

🌘⛈️🌬️🌪️ Typical summer time severe wind gusts and hail is expected this afternoon and evening across parts of The Central Plains into The Mid-Missouri & Upper Mississippi Valleys.

North Carolina & Southern Virginia, will also need to be on the look out for isolated severe gusts, while daily thunderstorms are forecast to impact many from The Southwest into The Great Basin, Gulf Coast & Southeast U.S.
