The $121,000 Super-Sedan for Less Than 10%!

5 years ago today, I shared one of my favorite "Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing"—the 2005 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG. This was the flagship of the Mercedes S-Class, and it still holds its own as a world-class performance machine today!

Why this car was a total beast:
✅ Power: 5.5L Supercharged V8 engine pumping out 493 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque.
✅ Speed: 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. In 2005, this was officially Corvette-fast!
✅ The Deal: Originally purchased by a doctor for $121,000, I managed to pick it up for less than 10% of that price. Depreciated luxury at its finest!

My favorite unique features:
➥ Keyless Go: Ahead of its time with a push-to-start button right on the shifter.
➥ ABC Suspension: Active Body Control running at 3,000 PSI to keep the car perfectly level.
➥ Custom 3D Printed Cup Holder: My own DIY solution to hold a Yeti cup in a luxury car.

As I said in the video: "If you want a reliable and cheap car, go buy a Toyota Camry. But if you want something exciting to be in every day that gets the most smiles per gallon, go find you an AMG!"

The $1,000 Scooter That Started It All!

5 years ago today, I launched a mission that many thought was impossible: Trading up from a disassembled scooter to a Polaris Slingshot!

This 1995 Honda Elite 80 was a school project that needed some mechanical love. After fixing a bent exhaust valve and getting it running "like a top," it was time to see what this little 80cc machine was truly worth.

Why this was the perfect start:

Low Miles: Only 3,334 miles on the clock!

Huge Potential: Even though the plastics were off, I knew with a $20 hardware kit and some assembly, this was a $1,000 bike.

The Bike that Started the Obsession!

5 years ago today, I introduced the channel to my 2012 Can-Am Spyder RS. At the time, I was tired of "boring vehicles" and looking for something with a soul—and I definitely found it!

Looking back at this deal:
I managed to find this 8-year-old machine with only 200 miles on the clock. It wasn't even broken in yet! I paid less than a third of what a new one cost, proving that you don't need $21,000 to have a world-class ride.

What I’ve learned since this video:

The Heat is Real: I mentioned the leg-burning radiator heat in the video—and I wasn't kidding!

The "No Leaning" Curve: Transitioning from 2 wheels to 3 was a wild experience, especially reaching for a front brake that wasn't there!

The Storage: That front trunk (Frunk) is still one of the most practical features ever put on a bike.

How I turned a Scooter into Jet Skis!

Five years ago, I started a mission to trade my way up to a Polaris Slingshot. In Part 2 of the series, things got interesting!

I sold my old scooter for cash and immediately reinvested it into a pair of 1993 & 1995 Jet Skis. Many people called them "heaps of trash," but I saw an opportunity.

With some fresh seat covers, new decals, and a little engine TLC, I transformed these "junk" skis into high-demand summer toys! In a market where Jet Skis were impossible to find, this was the ultimate Fast Flip.
