This is a research-driven documentary channel providing in-depth studies on wildlife behaviour and the secrets of natural history. I believe how deep we will go to live a story matters more than how far. As an international wildlife filmmaker featured in Sanctuary Asia, Saevus and Wild Trails, my creative narrative is grounded in field observation, rigorous scientific research and cinematic long-form visual storytelling.
My passion lies in presenting wildlife stories that fundamentally impacts how global audiences see the natural world. You'll find here well-researched, high-production documentaries about:
- Wildlife Safari and Behavioural Ecology
- Natural History
- Philosophy and Science
So I love to share my unique insights that break down the shackles of stereotypes and evoke your curiosity, empathy and wonder about natural history.

Could it be birds? That was my first thought when I heard about the tragic devastation of Air India Flight AI171. I am not an aviation expert or aeronautical engineer. So I will refrain from speculating when Black Box is yet to be found. But since the growth of grass near the runway during the monsoon season attracts a lot of insects, which in turn, attract birds, I wonder whether bird hit is the reason. Because the odds of dual engine failure simultaneously are pretty slim, about one in a billion! A bird hit can prevent flight to gain the required “lift” to ascend. Bird hit can damage the fan blades, windshields, eventually even may cause engine failure. In case of a windshield, a high-speed bird hit can crack or shatter the windshield, injure or distract the pilots, reduce visibility and increase cabin pressure risk. Could it be possible that a large flock caused this at low altitude during take-off?
Many birds are migratory and their flight paths often intersect with air traffic routes. Birds are naturally attracted to habitats that are often located around airports, such as open fields, wetlands and bodies of water that serve as feeding and nesting grounds. Whatever be the reason behind today’s mishaps, I hope authorities pay attention to create safe migratory corridors for birds along with improving aviation safety. In some cases, these wildlife corridors are naturally existing, protected areas. In others, habitats that have become fragmented by human activity can be reconnected. Our lives are deeply connected with #wildlife and if we ignore them, in some form or other, we have to pay.
My heart goes out to the families of the deceased ones (all passagers basically barring one survivor of seat 11A as reported so far). The more I read their stories, the more I feel anguished and saddened. So many dreams crashed within a fraction of minutes. The fragility of our lives on this planet repeatedly reminds us how precious our moments are. Each of them counts. I saw a group of travellers making their last reel (unbeknownst to them) with smiling face before boarding the flight.

Happy new year to those who celebrate according to the Gregorian calendar! It's still allowed to wish for a few more days after the 1st, isn't it? Hope the next rodeo around the sun brings some much-needed comfort and peace for you all. And that is not possible if our home is suffering. India hits an abysmal score of 45.5 (out of 100) and has been ranked 176th in the Global Nature Conservation Index, 2024 out of 180 countries! Remember, this is a mega-diverse country with 8% of the global wildlife species. Animals are facing extinction as we speak. And we are paying price too for failing to take care of Mother Nature. Actually, we don't need to take care of nature. It takes care of itself. All we need to do is not to destroy it beyond repair. Tread gently on this earth!
