Welcome to JAPAN!
My name is Masa! I’m 27 years old.
I love Sushi so much, so I think I want to eat sushi everyday! But, it’s difficult for me to go sushi restaurants everyday.. So I came up with a good idea!
「If I can make Sushi at home, I can eat Sushi everyday!」
That’s why I begun to make Sushi at home😊
I have worked at a sushi restaurant before. At home, I try making the same quality sushi served in sushi restaurant. Drawing on my past experiences and studying the techniques of sushi chefs and professionals, I put what I learn into practice at home.
Making Sushi is my hobby:))
And I’m gonna show you anything related.
So if you watch this YouTube Channel, you maybe get to learn a lot about Sushi and Japanese culture!
I hope you enjoy watching and making Sushi together🍣

Hello everyone!! I''m MASA!! (Oh!!)
Thank you so much for my videos, leaving comments, and giving likes throughout this year. The year is coming to an end soon… How was your year?
For me, it was a year full of big changes.
I changed jobs, moved to a new place, proposed to my girlfriend and got married, and I also met so many people through YouTube. One thing I regret is that I was so busy this year that I couldn’t go to sushi restaurants as often as I wanted. I really believe it’s important to visit all kinds of sushi restaurants from casual local spots to high-end omakase.
When I get focused on making sushi at home and learn so much from the chef’s techniques and details, I start noticing a lot of things. When I eat at a restaurant, I find myself thinking,“Hmm, this part is interesting,”or, “I’ve never recreated this at home. How do they do it? I should ask the chef.” That’s when my way of thinking about sushi becomes clearer.
So next year, my New Year’s goal is to visit at least one sushi restaurant every month.
Sushi isn’t just Japanese food — it’s raw-mantic food:)
And of course, I will keep working on YouTube next year as well. One of my biggest dreams is to show you the real prep process at a sushi restaurant. Until I can make that happen, I’ll keep going!
Once again, thank you for everything this year.
I hope you’ll continue to support the channel in the year ahead😊
Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!

Hello everyone! I'm Masa!
I've reached 10,000 subscribers🎉
Thank you so much for all your support!
I'm always grateful for your comments and for watching my videos. They are very encouraging to me😊
I’ll keep sharing more about how to make sushi at home, the history behind it, pro tips I’ve learned, sushi restaurants in Japan, sushi etiquette, and fun facts.
Actually… there's something I’ve been thinking about if I ever reached 10K.I’d love to start a small online shop where I send sushi-related goodies and traditional Japanese seasonings straight from Japan to your home. Stuff that’s hard to find overseas—like traditional vinegar(Akazu), soy sauce, sea weed, or sushi tools etc.
I’m still not sure if I can really make it happen (lol). Maybe a year from now, or two... or even later. But if it ever becomes possible, I’d love to try. If you think that sounds cool, hit the 👍 button—I’d love to know!
Thanks again for watching my videos!
And if there’s anything you want to see on this channel, feel free to drop a comment anytime. I’d love to hear from you!
See you again here when we reach 100,000 subscribers :))

Hello everyone!! I''m MASA!! (Oh!!)
The year is coming to an end soon…
How was the year 2024 for you?
In Japan, this year began with a major earthquake on January 1st. We also saw significant news, like the passing of Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, the introduction of new banknotes, and notable political developments. There was also the Paris Olympics. It’s been a year filled with big events.
For me, This year, I started my YouTube channel. The idea came from my love for sushi and my wish to eat it every day. However, dining at sushi restaurants daily wasn’t realistic for me. That’s when it hit me—why not make sushi myself at home?😄 Luckily, I live near a supermarket that specializes in fresh seafood, allowing me to get high-quality fish at affordable prices.
When I started this channel with that simple idea, I never imagined it would reach so many people. I’m truly grateful for your support. It’s made me realize just how amazing YouTube is!!:))
Through this channel, I’ve been able to connect with people from countries like the U.S., India, Southeast Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, Turkey, and many more beyond Japan. It’s incredible how sushi has the power to bring people together across the world. It makes me proud, not only as someone who loves sushi but also as a Japanese person.
Looking ahead to next year, I’ll continue sharing the results of my sushi-related experiments with all of you. Thank you so much for watching, leaving comments, and giving likes throughout this year. I hope you’ll continue to support the channel in the year ahead!
Once again, thank you for everything this year.
Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!!!

Thank you so much for always watching my videos and leaving comments!!☺️
Your support is a constant source of encouragement for me.
This time, I’ve decided to change my YouTube channel name! The reason is simply that I wanted a name that’s easier to understand. Since this YouTube channel is all about making sushi at home, along with sharing everything related to sushi, I thought the word "Lab" would be a fit.
Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you enjoy the content to come!!

The shapes are all different, aren't they.lol
I believe that The appearance of sushi, and whether it looks delicious or not, can be influenced by how the sushi toppings are cut!!
I can truly appreciate the skills of a sushi chef when I actually try making sushi myself!!

It's not that big, so I think it's an easy fish to fillet for beginners😄
