I’m more interested in the ‘why’ of photography than in the ‘how’.
There are loads of channels out there enthusiastically giving you gear reviews and top ten lists, but that's not this channel.
There will be practical tips along the way, but the meat of what I want to share with you won't be tech heavy.
Besides, I believe that a photographer who really sees, but has a cheap camera; will produce better images than a photographer with the best gear, but no vision... every time.
I’m not a daily vlogger, I’m not even a weekly one. The most I can manage at the moment is about once a month. But that also means that I’m not going to fill this channel with repeats of other info online, or attempt to stretch a little bit of content a long way.
I want every video to feel fresh and rich.
Hopefully that makes them worth the wait.

I was planning to share more details about our Morocco Street Photography Adventure this October — but after mentioning it in last night’s video, I woke up to find it had already sold out… in under 24 hours!
So firstly, thank you. The response has been incredible.
If you missed out, don’t worry. With so much interest, we’re already working on a second set of Morocco dates for early next year — and we’ll be announcing more workshops in new locations soon.
In the meantime, you can still view the Morocco trip details here: ulysse-retreats.com/atlas If you’d like first access to future dates, just hit the “register interest now” button and you’ll be notified as soon as new workshops are released.

I was recently interviewed on Audrie Woodhouse’s new podcast, Time to Speak, where we talked about communication, crafting a message, speaking to camera, and public speaking. It was refreshing to chat about something other than what camera I use 🙂

PARABLE Vol.7: "Walking Alone" is OUT NOW!
This is the seventh in a series of publications featuring photography and writing around a theme. In this edition, I share a body of street photography alongside the story of how the genre rescued me from falling out of love with photography altogether. I reflect on how I found my photographic voice at the time by focusing on single figures, moving through the liminal spaces where light and shadow meet.
I also explore our modern loneliness epidemic: what I believe is driving it, how time alone can be used well, and how we might consciously reintegrate to find community again.
PARABLE vol.7 is printed on environmentally-friendly, uncoated paper giving a pleasing matt feel in the hand, and muted hues with lifted, charcoal blacks to the rendering of the images. This edition is 48 sides at a large A4 size with staple binding.
Alternatively you could enjoy this magazine as a digital download which includes both the full PDF and an audio recording of the publication read by the author.

PARABLE vol.6: 'Merely Players' is out now! Get your copy here while stocks last: www.seantucker.photography/store
This is the sixth in a series of publications featuring photography and writing around a theme. In this edition I share a series of images featuring some of the more colourful characters I’ve come across on the streets over the years. I talk about how we can approach capturing subjects within the frame, and why human beings love to weave imaginary stories about the lives of others.
PARABLE vol.6 is printed on environmentally-friendly, uncoated paper giving a pleasing matt feel in the hand, and muted hues with lifted, charcoal blacks to the rendering of the images. This edition is 48 sides at a large A4 size with staple binding. You could also purchase a digitial copy which featuers a PDF and MP3 file of me reading the magazine to you.

Such a privilege to be invited onto Last Meal by the ever-inspiring Tom Nash. We had a great chat about anxiety, creativity, shadow work and legacy over cherry pancakes. Check out our conversation and sub to Tom's channel for more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtMId... #creativity #philosophy

PARABLE vol.5: Shadow work is out now! It's available either as physical copies, or digital downloads with PDF and Mp3 audio of me reading the magazine to you. Get your copies here while stocks last: www.seantucker.photography/store
This is the fifth in a series of publications featuring photography and writing around a theme. In this edition I share a series of images featuring the hard light and shadows of our city streets and talk about the reasons why I think this style of photography captures our attention. I also talk about how the ‘shadow times’ we pass through in life refine us into human beings who have more to offer, and how we can make friends with the shadow which lurks within all of us.
