Most people were taught what the Bible says before they were taught how to read it.

This channel starts differently.

LordzOwn Land is a long-form biblical literacy and discovery channel built for people who think. For skeptics who never stopped wondering. For believers who sense something doesn't add up.

We don't tell you what to believe. We show you how to look.

Six districts. One journey.

The Gate — your questions are valid here.

The Meaning Hall — tools to read honestly.

The Archive — physical evidence behind the text.

The Ancient World — the cultural world of the Bible.

The Crossroads — where understanding diverged.

The Sanctuary — where truth can simply be lived.

Start at Episode 1. Watch in order. Take it slow.

Truth declared can be resisted.

Truth recognised cannot be unseen.

In 155 AD, a Gentile philosopher named Justin Martyr wrote a letter that fundamentally changed how the Christian faith was understood. But what happens when you read an ancient, strictly Jewish document through the lens of Greek philosophy? And why weren't the original Jewish believers there to correct him? The answer is buried in the dateable historical timeline.

Imagine waking up in the first century, declaring that Yahweh is one, and then walking out your front door into a city running entirely on the philosophy of Plato. 🏛️

That was the daily reality for Philo of Alexandria. He tried to build a bridge between Moses and the Greeks using one specific word: the Logos. To him, it meant an instrument—a delegated agent (Shaliach). But the world that inherited his vocabulary had other ideas.

Episode 20 is live. We are looking at the historical evidence of how a man who never met Jesus provided the vocabulary that shaped the next 2,000 years of theology.

The first readers of John's Gospel already knew what the word Logos meant.

They learned it in school. It was part of how educated people in their
world understood reality. Six centuries of Greek philosophy had made it
one of the most familiar concepts in the ancient world.

And it had nothing to do with a personal God.

Episode 19 is live. Step inside the mind of that first century reader
at the exact moment two worlds collided inside one sentence.

What do you think those first readers understood when they hit that word?

Did you know the word Logos — the first significant word in the Gospel of
John — appears in Greek philosophy over five hundred years before the New
Testament was written?

Not as a name. Not as a title. As a philosophical concept describing an
impersonal rational force holding the universe together.

Episode 18 is live now. Trace the six-hundred-year journey of that word
before John ever used it.

Does that surprise you? Drop a comment below.

Welcome — and where to begin

This channel is a long-form teaching project focused on understanding the Bible clearly — before arguing doctrine or tradition.

The goal isn’t to tell anyone what to believe, but to explain how meaning, authority, history, and confusion actually work.

If you’re new here, the Biblical Foundations playlist is the best place to start.

Each video builds carefully on the previous one, and the studies are designed to be slow, calm, and verifiable.

Thank you for taking the time to think deeply.
