On World Cancer Day, i.e 4th February,2023; The National Service Scheme, Kirori Mal College organised a speaker session on the topic 'Cancer: How much do we know and What should be known'. The eminent speaker for the session was 'Dr. Atul Srivastava' who is a Senior Oncologist at Dharamshila Narayana Super Speciality Hospital. The speaker started the session by telling the audience about what exactly cancer is. Further, he burst all the myths regarding cancer and its symptoms. From cancer being non-communicable to chemotherapy being not painful, he touched the basics and explained even the minute facts. Moving forward, he also explained about different types of cancer, its prevention, different modalities for treatment and many more. The session turned out to be really informative and was concluded with a message for everyone which said, 'Gaining knowledge is the first step towards wisdom. Sharing it is the first step to humanity.'
