As many of you know I grew up very poor & feeling very isolated and alone i didnt have very many friends and i probably wasnt a very good friend.. honestly i dont know if much has changed in reality but i had a friend growing up that lived right up the street from my grandmother that his family almost made me feel like i was apart of their family he gave me the very first pair of Jordans i ever owned they were hand me downs but they made me feel like the coolest kid in the world 🤣 as we grew up we grew apart. we took very different paths in our lives ive reached out a few times over the past Hes never reached back out & for a while i held a grudge against him because i believed he thought he was better than me... i think that this situation has played a major role in my life on how i see friendships and i view the way other people see me..
the next song im dropping is with an extremely talented artist Parker Jack!
My entire verse is surrounded by this situation.. the older i get the more personal & vulnrable im attempting to become with my music as a man this is difficult but its the only way to make real music in my eyes.. so i hope you guys love the song 🙏🏼 im forever greatful For everyone thats riding with me through this journey.. i would be nothing without you 💯 #ctgmusic #realMusic #colemanlane #parkerjack

Here we are… talking about money, fear life lessons and growing up.
Being real can be scary but the world feels alot less lonely when you find your people
Were doing this
No label.
No industry machine.
Just workers, parents, broke superheroes, tired 20-50 year olds who are still trying.

There’s a line in the song that still strikes me when I hear it:
“Watching the hair on my face turn into gray got me scared
Ooh, nobody got me prepared…”
No one sat us down to explain:
how quickly youth fades especially when you’re just trying to survive
how exhaustion becomes your default setting
how fear starts to have you questioning, “is this all life is?”

“The song is officially out now.”

This song is for the ones who feel like they work more and get paid less.
For the parents trying to make ends meet.
For the broke superheroes who keep everything running.
This is not a label song.
Not a “look how rich I am” flex.
Not a playlist-chasing TikTok-bait song.
It’s for the people who work even on sick days.
The ones terrified they’ll never catch up.
The ones whose kids see them as superheroes while they quietly panic about bills.
Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees is officially OUT NOW.
If the lyrics hit a nerve…
It’s because they were written from one.
🎧 Listen now on every major platform.
When you hear the line:
“Oh, this is not how I remember things at all…”
Screenshot it, tag me, and tell me where you’re listening from.
Let’s show them real life still has a place in music.

“Why isn’t financial literacy taught in school?”

Why did school teach us how to label a cell…
But not how to build a credit score?
How to find “X”…
But not how to file taxes?
Where taxes go?
No clue.
Why doesn’t anyone hand poor kids a real guide to:
– money management
– credit and how to build it
– loans
– interest
– investing
– healthcare
Meanwhile:
63% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.
Debt is normal.
Burnout is normal.
Stress is normal.
When does it stop being “normal”
and start being recognized as conditioning?
Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees drops TONIGHT at midnight.
If you’re tired of pretending everything’s okay…

“I didn’t grow up with money. I grew up with the fear of not having it.”

I grew up on:
“We’ll figure it out.”
“We can’t afford that.”
“Rent’s due… we might have to move again.”
No one taught me credit—
Just “stay away from credit cards.”
No one explained taxes, healthcare…
I didn’t even know private doctors existed 😭
Falling behind was normal.
Stress was normal.
Hoping the lights stayed on was normal.
Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees isn’t a flex song.
It’s poor-kid anxiety in music form.
If you’ve ever felt guilty buying yourself something nice because of how you grew up…
I see you.
Poverty doesn’t just affect your wallet.
It affects the way you think, act, feel, and survive.
If you grew up counting change and praying to make ends meet, this song is for you.
Help real music with a real message spread.
