Why do we treat a 3D mirror as a 2D problem? 🤔📖

Got this conceptual doubt from a student on our app today regarding Optics.

The Question: "Why do we draw rays in only one plane in case of spherical mirrors even tho the mirror is 3-D, and how can the image be in only one plane?"
