Welcome to my channel a place for calm amongst the chaos.

A weekly gaming and collectibles channel built around one simple idea: why we love the games we play, the things we collect, and the spaces we build around them.

Every Sunday, you'll find new videos covering retro gaming deep dives, modern gaming commentary, game and toy collecting, games room updates, and the occasional 3D printing or crafting build, because sometimes playing the games isn't enough and you need to build the world around them too.

No clickbait. No hype. Just honest conversations about the games and collectibles that mean something, whether that's revisiting a 90s classic on original hardware, rearranging the games room for the hundredth time, or admitting when a past opinion aged badly.

If you're into retro gaming, physical media, building your own setup, or you just want something relaxed to watch with your brew, you're in the right place.

New videos every Sunday. See you in the next one.

It’s too damn hot!

Hi everyone,

I’m really sorry but I don’t have a video for you this week, I am gutted as I have broken my streak for the year of posting religiously every week throughout 2026.

This particular week in June is always the most challenging for me as I have multiple family birthdays to juggle and this year it was compounded by another week of travelling a lot more than normal for work, fortunately that travel schedule is easing a little now after a period of intensity.

We have also had the insane heats we have experienced in the UK, which I know always confuses our overseas colleagues, but in the absence of air conditioning it’s meant camping out in the kitchen for my household to be on the ground floor and the coolest part of the house.

To top it all off I have also picked up a cough which has been the icing on the cake at the end of this week. I had intended to film even a small video today but with the heat still making being indoors a challenge and the cough etc I have had to concede defeat.

If it cools a little today I may try and do a stream tonight to make up for it. I have the new Starfox game which I have not had chance to put on yet. If you would be interested in that then let me know.

I have also booked some time off the day job this next week in order to try and get some filming done and get back on top of my pile of pickups that I am excited to share with you all.

Anyway, my deepest apologies again for missing this weeks post. If you are in the UK then I hope you are coping with the heat, we are due a few cooler days now so let’s hope that comes off.

Have a good week everyone.

I've been sitting on this idea for a while, and I think the time is finally right to share it with you.

Say hello to Select Start Save Repeat — a brand new series coming to Patreon members (free tier included!)

So What Is It?

Think book club. But instead of reading, we play.

Select Start Save Repeat is the gaming show where the community picks the game, we all press start together, and then we talk about it together.

No rush. No hot takes. No racing to the finish, or even need to finish. Just a game chosen by you, played by all of us and then an honest, unhurried conversation about what it actually felt like to sit down and play it.

Every cycle, the community votes on the next game. You play it in your own time, your own way. Then we come together, part confession, part celebration, part book club for people who grew up with a controller in their hand, to share the experience.

Did it hold up? Did it surprise you? Did it break you on that one level you swore wasn't that hard? This is the space to talk about all of it.

Don't expect flashy edits or elaborate setups — this series is deliberately stripped back. Straight to camera, honest conversation, nothing in the way. Think of it as the anti-production gaming show. That's what makes it sustainable, and that's what keeps it real.

Select. Start. Save. Repeat.

The Pilot and Why Now

For the very first episode I'm playing Starwing on the SNES.

If you've been anywhere near gaming news recently, you'll know that the long-awaited Star Fox remake announcement has got a lot of us feeling very nostalgic indeed. It felt like the perfect moment to go back to where it all began, to dust off the original, fire up the SNES, and actually sit with it properly.

No speedrun. No guide. Just me, a controller, and one of the most iconic games of my childhood.

I want to know if it holds up. I want to know what it feels like to play it in 2026. And most importantly I want to hear what you think too.

Which brings me to the next bit.

This Lives on Patreon — Here's How It Works

Select Start Save Repeat is going to be free for everyone. Always. But Patreon is where the community really comes to life and I've restructured things to make it as simple and as worthwhile as possible.

Here's what we've got:

🆓 Free Tier — Come On In

No commitment. No catch. Just community.

Join for free and you get access to our growing space of like-minded gamers, a place to talk, share, and connect with people who actually care about this stuff. You'll also get full access to Select Start Save Repeat as a free series, every episode, no paywall.

💾 Paid Tier — Put Your Money Where Your Controller Is

This tier exists for one reason: to build something worth watching together.

Every penny generated goes straight back into the game collection, funding new pickups, new content, and new adventures for the channel. You're not just supporting what I do. You're literally building it with me.

And I'll always be transparent about it. When Patreon money buys something for the collection, I'll call it out in the relevant video, so you'll know exactly what your support made possible. Every purchase. Every time.

As a paid member you also get:

🗳️ Your vote — paid members choose which game we play each Select Start Save Repeat cycle. The community decides, every time.

🎙️ A seat at the table — at the end of each game cycle, paid members get the opportunity to join me on the episode for a discussion. Play the game, share your thoughts, appear on the show.

So — Are You In?

The pilot is underway. Starwing is loaded. The SNES is warm.

If you want to play along, then join the community over on Patreon, free or paid, you're welcome either way. And if you've got thoughts on Starwing, or what you're hoping to see from the remake — drop them in the comments. I want to hear from you.

Let's do this properly. Together.

Select. Start. Save. Repeat. 🎮

No video or stream tonight folks. Had planned a stream after travelling last week but have managed to throw my back out. Old man woes! Did find time this weekend to build this little beauty! Highly recommend if you have nostalgia for the OG Gameboy. Hope you all have an awesome week. Will see you next week for a video and a few streams over the next month.

It arrived…. I caved and got a Black Friday deal on a PS5 Pro. Setting up now and hoping to be able to stream this evening. If you have any questions then let me know.

Part 1 of a Black Friday order has arrived. The second and bigger part comes this afternoon. Depending on when it arrives, will dictate whether this evenings stream is Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5… can you guess what’s coming?? And yes I am a hypocrite.

A penny for your thoughts? I have been enjoying my recent live streams and I was thinking about doing them more regularly. YouTube isn’t always the first place people think of when they watch live streams. I’m curious, what are your thoughts?

Just wanted to do a quick update. Unfortunately there won’t be a video this week again. The day job and life are pretty full on right now which is taking priority, but I do have content underway and hopefully will return to normal routine soon.

I was hoping to stream the new Pokemon ZA game today but am also fighting off a cold at the moment so will see how I am doing this evening. Hopefully back to normal routine soon, but sorry again for the lack of content.

Hope you have a great week!

New video is up and scheduled for Sunday at 9pm GMT (apologies for missing last week).

In the meantime this has nothing to do with that video but I thought it was fun to share. I made privacy screens for the workshop and painted this to amuse my kids and my neighbours. Enjoy!

Hey folks, work and the heat is keeping me busy right now so I won’t have a typical video up this week. I have a few in flight though and here is a sneak peak at a gaming 3D printed build, my biggest so far.
