Barnaby Nutt - Outdoors in Poland

In the middle of 2024, we moved from Ireland to Poland, and so this channel needed a little 'rebranding'. I'd started making videos of my adventures around Ireland to keep them as memories as much as anything, and was begining to get the hang of it. But then being told I was being made redundant, moving country and living out of boxes meant that adventuring (and making videos) definitely took a back seat.
But I'm back. I'm not sure if there's much interest in English language videos about the outdoors in Poland, but I'll keep at if for my own benefit. This isn't a 'gear' channel, and the adventures might be pretty tame, but I'll keep sharing while I'm having fun.

I'm a hiker, kayaker, camper, and (almost retired) cyclist with a terrible memory. As a result, along my journeys I tend to take pictures or video to record and remember them. The videos are here and the pictures (and words) on my blog: barnabynutt.com/

Barnaby Nutt - Outdoors in Poland

In Connemara yesterday to spend a glorious day in the Maumturk Mountains. There was snow above 450m and a few flurries on the top. The views were magnificent all day.
I decided against a video camera, preferring the simplicity of just shooting a few snaps instead…

Barnaby Nutt - Outdoors in Poland

Up on the Devil’s Bit ridge today in Tipperary. I walked the length of it (and back again) in windy and overcast conditions, but still had fun.
I’ll throw a video together in the coming days. Brace yourself for plenty of wild noise!

Barnaby Nutt - Outdoors in Poland

Hello everyone. I’m up on Black Head, high above the Atlantic and Galway Bay. It’s a first outing for the xBoil and the xMid and it should be a real test. Winds are strengthening through the night and the rain is forecast to start around midnight.
Still, great to be out…

Barnaby Nutt - Outdoors in Poland

Hi everyone. I’m over in Poland for the Christmas and New Year celebrations and so have only been able to get out a couple of times on some local trails.
I love the trails here; mile after mile of pine woodland, but not like those in Ireland that are really dense, dark plantations. Here they light, airy places that are crying out to be camped in.
While I’ve been walking, I’ve been playing with a few camera and gimbal moves. I figure that I’m early into my ‘10,000 hours’ as a beginner film maker, so this time is well spent, even if the results are not spectacular (you can see a couple in my ‘Shorts’).
Anyway, have a good one and I’ll see you on the other side…
