Mega Cancer Conclave 2026 | Advancing Oncology Through Collaboration & Clinical Excellence

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH), New Delhi, in collaboration with regional partners, successfully organised the “Update in Oncology (Clinical Updates on Common Cancers)” at Radisson Blu Hotel, Jammu on April 12, 2026.

The conclave was jointly led by Dr. Shyam Aggarwal, Chairperson, Department of Medical Oncology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Dr. Deepak Bharti, Senior Consultant, Medical and Hemato-Oncology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH), Katra.

Graced by Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal, Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, the event brought together 200+ delegates, including oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and general practitioners from across the region.

The Sir Ganga Ram Hospital faculty team—Dr. S. Rawat, Dr. S. Bal, Dr. Shikha Halder, Dr. S. Ethel Shangne, Dr. Ashwin Mallya, Dr. Arvind Kumar, Dr. Rahul Modi, and Dr. Rakesh Kaul (Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul)—delivered expert-led sessions and participated in insightful panel discussions.

The event was further honoured by the presence of the CEO of Association of Oncologists of India (AOI) and the CEO of Vaishno Devi Hospital.

Rooted in the “Trust of Generations”, the journey of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital began in 1951. It was formally inaugurated on 13th April 1954, coinciding with Sir Ganga Ram’s birth anniversary. Since then, the hospital has grown into a premier healthcare institution, housing over 900 beds, 71 specialities, 100+ specialised clinics, and 35 advanced operating theatres.
