Sadly I have to sell my Quantum Saloon. I am really heartbroken.

I can't remember the exact date the car was last used but it was 2020. I had a job with a company car so put Quantum on a Sorn because it wasn't being used, but planning to leave the job and put it back on the road.

Exact date I am not sure of but I believe it was first registered as a Quantum in 1993 and the donor was a 1987 Fiesta XR2

You can see evidence that the car has been loved and worked on with the videos below going right back to the beginning on my Enwins Motors YouTube channel including 2 road trips to Sweden in the car. Some gel coat repairs have been needed on corner of front and back bumper dating from previous owner. Current Quantum manufacturers have quoted £200 to fix that. Body is rock solid otherwise and in great condition.

In our hands new replacements of the following have been fitted.
Radiator
Silicone coolant hoses
Front suspension struts both sides
Springs x4
Stainless exhaust front to back
New electric petrol pump
New front brake discs
Complete engine rebuild after 1st Sweden road trip.
New heater matrix fitted although old one turned out to be fine.
4 wheels in boot waiting to be tired and fitted

I have also had rear screen and rear 3/4 screens re-bonded back in, but one of the rear side windows is loose again so not bonded properly, adding to my heartache

It came with central locking, electric windows and a 6 cd autochanger behind rear seats.
Interior was fitted by original Quantum factory as was sunroof that is now inoperable but made watertight.

I think we bought it in 2016 or 17
1600 CVH petrol
Last MOT was in 2019

Jobs to do to get back on the road...
Rear bushes.
Central locking on both doors needs fixing.
Nearside window detached from the mechanism (in closed position)
Indicators not working, no spark (although I did have the car running a year ago so don't know why these electrical gremlins surfaced)
Wipers seized. I suspect some lubricant on mechanism is required.

Reason I am selling is that I have progressive Ms. I have done a lot of work to get it ready for an mot but I had to leave that job early as ms worsened and I can no longer work on the car.

I am a long time member of the Quantum Owners Club and the car is well known. My main concern is the car being sold for a fair price (the owners club helped me reach a fair valuation) and regardless of price I refuse to sell the car to anyone who may rip up this classic to rebuild a Fiesta and you will need to convince me.

This car is number 193 of only 215 made. Selling is purely for health reasons so I will make sure it goes to the right buyer.

I am a contributor to TKC magazine and in a past life produced Kits 'n' Cruisin' for the Men and Motors channel

Without the income I lost from having to quit work with ms, I cannot afford to pay for the help I need to get the car mot ready. But it has to go to a real Quantum enthusiast
