If you love Israel - and love great music - you've come to the right place! I'm Josh Shron and for the past 31 years, I've worked hard to build a stronger Israel through music, one song at a time.

I'm the host of Israel Hour Radio, a weekly radio show (in New Jersey) and podcast (worldwide) that celebrates Israeli music and culture. Each week, I spend an hour playing AMAZING Israeli songs, with commentary and discussion in English. I firmly believe that you don't need to be fluent in Hebrew to enjoy Israeli music. I personally don't even understand every word of the music I play! I simply enjoy great music, and I love connecting on a deeper level with the land of Israel - a country I love, appreciate, and admire.

Have you seen these bumper stickers in Israel?

Every bench. Every bus stop. Every lamp post. A smiling face, a name, and a favorite saying from a fallen soldier.

Singer Shlomi Shabbat turned their words into a song — and it will break your heart wide open.

Twenty-four "Michelles" in the music video. Twenty-four countries Israel competed against at Eurovision.

Coincidence? Maybe not.

What if Michelle isn't a breakup song — but a message to Europe?

You tell me.

In 1967, Naomi Shemer wrote a song that captured an entire nation's heart.

Fifty-five years later, 400 rock musicians gathered outside the ancient walls of Jerusalem and electrified those stones all over again.

"If only we could be happy with our whole heart. Without missiles in the skies, without hatred in our eyes. To trust again. To fall in love. To start anew."

This is Halevai — If Only — by Hanan Ben Ari and Peer Tasi. The number one song in Israel right now.

After everything — this is what Israelis are wishing for. 🇮🇱

Do you remember November 2020?

Eight months into the pandemic, depression and isolation had settled over Israel like a fog.

That's exactly when 40 of Israel's biggest musical stars united to send one message: Katan Aleinu. We've got this.

An echo of Hatikvah. A reminder of who Israelis are.

To date, 30 million views and counting.

You may know Aner Shapira as the hero who threw back ten grenades at the Nova Festival.

But did you know he was also a gifted musician?

Last week, a song he recorded in 2021 was released — with newly recorded accompaniment by legendary Israeli singer Yehudit Ravitz.

Bo'i Nisa Mikan. Come On, Let's Get Out of Here.

Share his music. Keep his memory alive. 🇮🇱

What does it look like when grief becomes music?

Several Israeli musicians — each carrying an unimaginable loss — came together to perform a song about hope, faith, and the belief that things can get better.

Three kids. Two Jewish siblings from Jerusalem. One Israeli-Arab from Ramle.

Together they sing one of the most heartbreaking Yom HaZikaron songs ever written — a message from children born after the Yom Kippur War to the adults who promised them peace.

They're still waiting.

"There's no pain I haven't felt. And yet I haven't given up. Good days will come. We will rise again."

On Yom HaZikaron, bereaved children write letters to their fallen parents, tie them to red balloons, and release them into the sky.

This is Od Nakum. We Will Rise Again.
