Unfortunately, stellar content on YouTube won't get you views.
A great charismatic delivery won't get you noticed. UNLESS...
You also have Curiosity Packaging.
A guy asked me yesterday "I hear so many people talking about packaging but what is it really?"
And if you've wondered the same, here's the answer:
In a nutshell, it's how the video is dressed up before someone clicks to watch.
Packaging can include: - the topic - the positioning - the title - the thumbnail - the channel name - the first 2 lines of description - where the video is first discovered
Think of it like seeing a plate of delicious food. Before you decide to take a bite, it has to look good, smell good, you need to be hungry, the environment needs to be comfortable to eat, you need to have the right cutlery, etc.
The good news is that packaging is one of the easiest things to change if a video is already published.
The bad news is that most AI tools out there still won't do a good job of re-packaging the video because they won't have enough context.
To fix this problem, we're going to use Gemini. Why?
Because Gemini can "READ" the video.
Unlike other AIs, it's deeply integrated with YouTube (for obvious reasons).
It won't just read the transcript, it can read what color shirt you're wearing, what your background looks like, what the tone of your voice is communicating, what comments exist on the video, what value people are finding in it, and what the video's single greatest perspective is that differentiates it from all others.
And when you get all this context, you can package the video right.
Most good packaging starts with a better positioned title.
A bad title: "I lost important data! Backup your files" doesn't tell the viewer why they should watch and doesn't build curiosity.
A better packaged title: "Don't use Windows Disk Manager until you watch this!" focuses on loss aversion as the emotional trigger, specifies the OS which adds context/specificity and adds curiosity.
I built a Gem Bot (AI tool) that will do this for you.
All you need to do is feed it your video URL and it'll suggest 3-5 YouTube titles based on the content and CONTEXT of your video.
Just let me know you want it in the comments and I'll share it.
Im hosting a live free session tues July 7th on how I was invited to cannes lions by YouTube, and how nano and micro creators are currently being funded. I've got some insights to share directly from the YouTube team at YouTube Creator Club (hi if you were there 👋). Its definitely not about huge follower counts anymore and im gonna be breaking it down. Let me know jf you'd like to attend (its online and free) and ill shoot you an invite
Confession: I hate hustling. But I love being invited. If thats you as well, keep reading...
Last month, I was invited to speak at Social Media Marketing World. This month, I was invited to Cannes Lions directly by YouTube.
I didn’t chase them. I didn’t pitch them. They came to me.
I don’t believe in hustling for opportunities (I'm a projector if you're into human design). I believe in creating a brand so powerful that they come to you.
I call it Invitation Energy.
This coming Tuesday, July 7th, I’m hosting a free live masterclass inside my Circle community to show you exactly how to build that kind of authority positioning.
And you can R.S.V.P for the live session.
Just comment CANNES and I'll send over the invite link
Hey YouTube Entrepreneurs! Tomorrow, I’m flying out to my very first Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity as an official guest of YouTube. They are hosting top executives at the event, and I plan on interviewing a few of them directly.
Since I build everything with this community in mind, I want to ask them YOUR questions. What do you want to know about the future of the platform, creator monetization, or content reach? Drop your top questions in the comments below!
As an introvert, this is definitely pushing me out of my safe space, but I'm ready to 'do the thing' so I can bring the raw insights back to you.
The reason you've abandoned your YouTube channel and the easy "fix" to revive it:
I've "quit" YouTube twice.
The first time was for 3 months The 2nd time was for 6 months
Each time I thought ok this is it.
I tried but its too hard. I can't do it. I gave it a shot but it just didn't work out.
And both times here's what I learned:
You don't quit youtube.
You just take a break.
Because, unlike other social media platforms, you can literally come back to an abandoned channel and just....(revolutionary idea incoming)...
START UPLOADING AGAIN!!!
And here's the even crazier part.
My clients have been using my story video framework to post a new video on youtube after months of inactivity and this video instantly establishes trust.
If you'd like to use my AI tool to create an outline of this video for your *ahem* abandoned channel just drop me a comment with the words "GEM" and I'll send it you.
Remember, you haven't quit; you're just taking a break 😉
12 years ago i spoke at my first ever international speaking gig in Almaty, Kazakhstan on the invitation of the US State Department. And today I just hosted a session on "YouTube for Business" for the entrepreneurs of Madeira, Portugal.
I'm an introvert and normally get exhausted after most people interactions.
But put me in front of a group of passionate entrepreneurs and tell me to talk about YouTube and business growth and personal branding with videos and I can talk for hours.
Not only that but by the end of it I'm exhilarated not exhausted.
There's nothing quite like seeing literal light bulbs go off in the audience's mind in real time.
So grateful to Sangha Cowork for hosting me and for all the incredible entrepreneurs who joined in for 90 minutes, and DID THE WORK!
What's something that gives you the same kind of I'm-on-top-of-the-world energy?
If you've been following the experimental video I did to test Creator Partnerships (youtube's new feature for brand deasl) you might like to know that the brand selected my video today (woohoo) which means that they'll release payment now but it might still take upto 60 days for it to show up in my adsense account.
Still...the process worked!
Thanks to everyone who watched and commented. And if you have no idea what im talking about, go watch the video here: https://youtu.be/vphMFx0uQ7w
Oh and there's something else that happened right after they released payment. Any guesses?

In today's free live training, I showed my audience exactly how YouTube (powered by Gemini behind the scenes) was matching my channel with brands...
Let me know if you'd like to see the recording (it's available for 72 hours) and if you want more brand deals from YouTube
YOU only need 10 videos to start working with brands (proof and examples inside). Most people dont believe it when i say that so watch for yourself.
