How to Customize Your Inline Skate Frames With a Vinyl Wrap πŸ’Ž READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW ⬇️ (Post Version)

πŸ’Ž Picture 1: Finished set of Endless Arc CS frames. I am using Teckwrap White Opal Holographic Chrome Vinyl here

πŸ’Ž Picture 2: You will need vinyl wrap, scissors to cut vinyl strips, a β€œfelt squeegee” or card to apply vinyl film, X-Acto knife or razor to trim, extra blades, and throw away surface to cut on such as cardboard.

πŸ’Ž Pictures 3 & 4: Apply a vinyl strip to the frame starting at the flattest part of the frame (make sure frame is clean/ dust-free). Use a felt squeegee, card, or your fingers to apply the vinyl SLOWLY to the frame working from flat part to rest of frame. Here I start at bottom of frame and work my way to the top. Other frames may be easier to start in middle and work outwards or start at top and work down.

πŸ’Ž Pictures 5 & 6: Begin course trim using X-Acto knife. Leave a couple millimeters of vinyl from the frame edge (no need to be precise; we will fine trim this off in next step). I like to lay my frame vinyl side down and cut on a piece of cardboard for this step.

πŸ’Ž Picture 7: Peel off the outer protective layer after course trim (to make fine trim easier).

πŸ’Ž Picture 8: Always use a sharp razor blade for fine trimming!! If you have used the razor blade for anything more than step in Picture 5 then you probably need to exchange blade for new. I used four razor blades for this set of frames; one blade per frame face. Once the razors get dull, they will not cut well and start to tear vinyl.

πŸ’Ž Picture 9 Fine trim the frame by cutting along the edge of the frame at a 45 degree angle. You can start anywhere and work around entire frame. After fine trimming the frame edge, fine trim the axle slots, again at a 45 degree angle.

πŸ’Ž Picture 10: One frame face is done!! 😎

Not all vinyl I have tried works well with inline skate frames: particularly 3M reflective was too soft and not sticky. All chrome type vinyl I have tried works great.

Halloween 2025: Dark Monarch Butterfly πŸ¦‹

My costume for my skate sessions today on Halloween πŸŽƒ I had a ton of fun skating today (3.75h so far at two locations) and was able to get lots of footage for shorts and a full length YT video.

I have been in sort of a funk the last few months, but I am determined to put out some more full length videos 😁 The goal of this channel is to inspire others to take up or progress their inline skating and also teach other people what I have learned when it comes to gear and eventually teach techniques, such as backwards skating, Mohawks, and more. I have learned a lot since starting this channel, both in terms of skating and video production/editing and it is exciting to know that there is much more to learn with both. I have been skating nearly everyday for 25.5 months now and skating is one of the most important things to me; it has changed my life in a very positive way 🩡

Thanks for the support!!
