While I pay the bills with my day job as a chemist, here I get to share my journey as a self-taught artist working in colored pencil, soft pastel, watercolor, gouache and acrylic paints. I focus on capturing the beauty of nature and light of life in everyday moments. I especially enjoy creating works of art from my own reference photos. In my videos, I share tips and tricks I’ve learned on my artistic journey, and I also hope to share my learning experiences as I move outside my comfort zone in experimenting with abstract art and with accepting the imperfection inherent in every artistic endeavor. Hi Friends! I recently learned that the YouTube algorithm doesn't promote my long form content because my channel is heavier on Shorts, so I've been working on a change in focus away from vertical "Shorts." I'll still be producing short-length videos - they'll just be sideways! I hope you'll check them out, and if you're watching on your phone or tablet, just rotate it sideways for the best viewing experience.
