Right now, we need to support immigrant-owned and local businesses more than ever! I’ve been asked many times where to shop for Asian groceries, so I put together this list (it doesn’t include every one). Don’t be afraid to explore and venture out on your own!
Most Asian grocery stores in Minnesota primarily cater to Southeast Asian and Chinese communities, so you won’t find large chains like H Mart or Mitsuwa just yet.
Minneapolis: United Noodles Shuang Hur Supermarket (has a St Paul location too) Northside Oriental Market & Deli Good Deal Oriental Foods TT Market Rong Market Groceries of the Orient
St Paul: Golden Harvest Dragon Star Oriental Foods Double Dragon Foods Ha Tien Supermarket Mo’s Tropical Wholesale & Deli HmongTown Marketplace Hmong Village Hoa Mei Market & Deli BF Yang Foods Kyaw Karen Market Teepwo Market Asian Mart Little Saigon Supermarket Kim's Asian Market NL Oriental Food & Deli Kyaw Karen Market
Fridley: Dong Yang Oriental Foods & Deli (Hilltop) Seoul Foods (there’s another in North Mankato by the same name)
Brooklyn Park / Brooklyn Center: Vinai Market (closer to Brooklyn Center) Dragon Star Empire Foods Golden Lion Supermarket Viengchan Market (has a St Paul location too - Viengchan Market-7st) Sun Foods (has a St Paul location too) Koom Siab Grocery & Deli (closer to Brooklyn Center)
Southern Suburbs: Hana Asian Market in Bloomington Oriental Market Plus in Burnsville Asian Direct Oriental Market in Savage Asia Mall in Edina

I’ve been asked if I’m going to speak on the current political tensions. But I don’t feel I have the right words. What I do know is that I stand with the people.
Right now, I want to use my platform to uplift small businesses across different neighborhoods in the Twin Cities. There are so many ways we can show up for one another during this time.
If you’re able, please support these businesses within your means — and above all, take care of yourselves.
Check out the list below, and if you have other suggestions, feel free to share them in the comments.
Minneapolis: - Little Tijuana - The Camden Social - La Madre - Lulu EthioVegan Cuisine
St Paul: - Ruam Mit & Thai - bb.q chicken (St Paul) - Crasqui Restaurant - Nanny’s Jamaican Kitchen
Roseville: - Stone Pho - Mi Sant - La Delicious Bread - La Tapatia
Brooklyn Park / Brooklyn Center: - UPIN Hot Pot - MT Noodles, Pho 99, & Vietnam House - Oga madam kitchen
South suburbs: - Maruichi Udon - Asia Mall - Bun Mee - Itton Ramen
Special shout outs to: - Palmar Mexican Restaurant & Seafood - Cancun Mexican Grill & Cantina - Baba Saj - Amazing Thailand
I officially made it as an influencer because someone reposted my video on TikTok without asking for my consent. 😅 We’re starting out strong in 2026 aren’t we?!!
I severely cut my finger right before Christmas, got cold sore the next day, and have been recuperating at home. To pass time, I’ve been building gundam figurines. Now the question is, where to put them?
With 2025 coming to an end, here’s what I’m proud of accomplishing:
1. Filming 100 videos for my Minnesota food list series. 2. Launching a new bakery-focused series in Minnesota — taking it slow since I don’t eat bread often. 3. Traveling to Japan twice in one year, plus visiting Thailand and Taiwan. 4. Cutting ties with my toxic mother and family to protect my peace. 5. Becoming completely credit card debt-free. 6. Meeting more content creators, even as a total introvert. 7. Uploading and sharing over 30 Japan reels. 8. Hitting 7K followers on Facebook and 4K on YouTube. 9. Starting a dedicated Facebook page for Yum Yum Adventures. 10. Adopting my third cat — a mischievous kitten who’s truly tested my love and patience.
How long does one video take? If you count travel time, scripting, editing, and voiceover, it usually takes about 3–5 hours, give or take. I’ve always cared more about putting out quality videos, which is why I do voiceovers. Honestly, I’m terrible at talking to the camera, so props to anyone who can do that well.
What you see online is just the finished product. If the editing or my voiceover feels fast-paced, it’s because the data shows people only spend about 1–3 seconds on a video before swiping, even if it’s 20–60 seconds long.
I’ve been making content since middle school, back when I watched big YouTubers and bloggers and thought their lives looked so happy doing what they loved. I wanted that so badly. Now I’m grateful that I’ve been able to achieve a piece of that inner-child goal by creating content about something I genuinely enjoy—food.
Just know that there’s a lot happening behind the scenes every time you watch my videos. I’m always open to constructive criticism, but I won’t tolerate straight-up hate with no useful feedback.
Anyway, I’m excited to keep bringing you all more content!
Wow…we finally hit 4K subscribers after 16 years on YouTube with little to no growth. Honestly, I had given up for a while because the platform doesn’t exactly help out rookies or creators without flashy setups or rage-bait content.
But the good thing is that I kept going anyway. Even with low views and barely any subscribers, I kept following my passion for video editing and documenting my experiences. And that paid off — my short-form videos helped me grow on TikTok and Instagram, and now I even have a public page on Facebook!
The real message here is: keep trying. Keep trying even when the wins aren’t coming. Even when your content isn’t viral. If you had told teenage me that I’d ever become a micro-influencer, I never would’ve believed it. I used to dream of being like the travel YouTubers and vloggers I watched growing up.
And now, in my own way, I feel successful. Thank you all for being here — whether you’re new or an OG supporter. ❤️
