The camp was attended by SMS-SDL Shri Pranav Chadha, Agriculture Extension Officer (AEO) Nagrota Dr. Koushalya Devi, Agriculture Extension Assistants Shri Sandeep Gupta and Shri Jatinder Singh, along with Ms. Rahila from ATMA. Around 30 farmers actively participated in the programme and interacted with the agricultural experts. During the camp, farmers were educated about the latest package of practices for cereal crops, including the use of improved seed varieties, balanced fertilizer application, integrated pest management, and efficient water-use techniques aimed at enhancing productivity and profitability. Detailed information regarding various beneficiary-oriented schemes being implemented under NFSNM was also shared with the participants. Agricultural implements were distributed among eligible farmers to promote the adoption of modern agricultural technologies. The officers also conducted awareness sessions under the Khet Bachao Abhiyan, emphasizing the importance of soil health management, judicious use of fertilizers, and sustainable farming practices for the conservation of agricultural land and long-term productivity. Farmers were also sensitized about the cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs), particularly Harad, under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) MAP-P5 Project. The participants were encouraged to diversify their farming systems by adopting medicinal and aromatic crops as a means of enhancing farm income and ensuring agricultural sustainability. The programme concluded with an interactive session during which farmers raised their queries and received expert guidance on various aspects of crop production and agricultural development.
