August 7th eh… This date na iron.
This day dey carry weight.
Na the day Ivory Coast broke the chain, sip clean water, and say — we go write we own story.

Back in 1960, when some dey raise guns, Côte d’Ivoire raise wisdom.
Under the steady hand of Félix Houphouët-Boigny, dem nor fight war with blood, dem fight am with brain.
Diplomacy wear agbada that day.
And boom — freedom entered with style.



🌍 But make we nor mistake… this celebration nor be just parade and flag waving.

Today, we dey celebrate the fire inside the Ivorian spirit:

The rhythm of Coupé-Décalé where even sorrow go dance.

The smell of attiéké and aloco, weh go remind you say, “You dey home.”

The bold elegance of our African textiles, woven with memory and meaning.

And that soft, but powerful whisper from the ancestors: “You nor de carry last.”
