Savanah Collier has been sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to one count of accessory after the fact, while her husband, James Shirah, 24, was sentenced earlier this month to a minimum of three decades in prison for the death of his friend and best man. Prosecutors said the incident unfolded on the couple’s wedding day, August 30, 2024, when Shirah allegedly got into a fight with the best man that escalated to him striking the man with his vehicle, resulting in his death. Collier became emotional during the hearing and told the judge, “That was supposed to be the best night of my life, and it turned out to be the worst.”
