The Rajkumar College, Rajkot was established in 1868 by the Princes and Chiefs of Kathiawar [currently Saurashtra region of Gujarat]. It is the oldest of the colleges in India founded for the education of the Princely order.

The College is a founder member of the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC) established in 1939 on the lines of the British Public School Education system.

The Rajkumar College (widely known simply as RKC) is a co-educational boarding and day school catering for children between the ages of five to eighteen. We are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE], New Delhi – Affiliation No. 430005 since 1st May, 1973 and have applied for extension of Provisional Affiliation. The College is recognized by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat and NOC has been obtained from the Office of the District Education Officer vide their letter dt. 17th March, 2008.

The Rajkumar College organized the “Indian Universities College Fair – 2025” on Thursday, 18th September 2025, at the Senior Day School Multimedia Hall. The event was held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and parents.

The fair served as a mega platform for aspiring learners to interact with representatives of reputed Indian universities who had travelled from across the country. It provided valuable insights into diverse academic pathways, admission procedures, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects.

The highlight of the event was the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Nikesh Mehta, CEO of Macpower CNC Machines Ltd., and a proud alumnus of RKC. Having studied at the school from Standard 1 to Standard 9, his presence marked a memorable homecoming. With over 18 years of experience in the Machine Tools Industry, Mr. Mehta has spearheaded global collaborations across more than 180 countries and has been instrumental in strengthening the Rajkot Chamber of Commerce. His contributions in Techno-Commercial Management, Supply Chain, and Assembly operations reflect his expertise and leadership. Notably, he has also offered valuable insights on India’s Chandrayaan Mission, bringing pride to Gujarat at an international level.

The interaction during the fair enabled students to explore multiple educational avenues and make informed decisions about their future studies. Parents too benefitted from direct conversations with the delegates, helping them guide their wards more effectively.

To ensure smooth coordination of the event, Khushi Unadkat (11 C) did a commendable job as an anchor, while students from Class 10 — Dhruvi Ruparel (10 B), Dhruvi Gandhi (10 B), Mahima Lalwani (10 B), Jenish Jindani (10 B), Aarush Doshi (10 D), and Tirth Shah (10 D) — escorted the university representatives with great responsibility and courtesy.

The Career Counseling Department (Dr. Mitesh Popat, Mrs. Kanta Rajpal, Mrs. Falguni Katira, and Mrs. Pooja Kochhar) of The Rajkumar College expressed gratitude to all participants and reaffirmed its commitment to guiding students toward successful academic and career pathways.

Festivals are the threads that weave culture, joy and togetherness into our lives.

The Junior Day School celebrated Navratri on 27th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and vibrant energy. Students of Classes 4, 5 & 6, dressed in colourful traditional attire, filled the atmosphere with festive cheer as they performed graceful Garbas , using creative props that added charm and sparkle to the celebration.

The programme began with the Aarti of Maa Amba, seeking blessings for health, happiness and prosperity. Under the guidance of Mrs. Purvi Sheth, the young learners not only showcased their rhythm and coordination but also experienced the spirit of unity, discipline and cultural pride.

Celebrations like these give our students the opportunity to connect with our rich traditions, nurture teamwork, and create joyful memories together.

"A Triad of Adventure, Learning, and Camaraderie"

The Lodge boys, accompanied by Mr. Arjun Raval, Mr. Howard D'Souza, and Mr. Braj Kishor Mishra, embarked on an exhilarating three-day excursion to Camp Dilly, Anand, and the iconic Statue of Unity, Kevadia. This odyssey was a masterful blend of recreation, adventure, and education, carefully curated to foster teamwork, confidence, and physical endurance among the students.

The journey commenced with an evening of merriment at Camp Dilly Resort, where the boys engaged in a variety of indoor games, forging bonds and creating unforgettable memories. The subsequent days unfolded with a plethora of outdoor activities, including Burma Loop, Sky Walk, Rock Climbing, and Zip Line, which pushed the students out of their comfort zones and instilled in them a sense of resilience and determination.

The visit to the Statue of Unity, Kevadia, was a poignant tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The boys explored the museum, reveled in the Jungle Safari, and were awestruck by the majesty of the statue and the surrounding landscape. The spectacular Light and Sound Show was a fitting culmination to the tour, leaving an indelible mark on the young minds.

This tour was a testament to the power of experiential learning, fostering friendships, and creating lifelong memories. The Lodge boys returned with enriched perspectives, bolstered confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the importance of teamwork and camaraderie.

A Workshop on Legal aspects of the Indian Constitution and a Moot Court Session were
successfully conducted at the Day School Multimedia Hall on 19th September 2025. The
sessions were led by Dr. Akhilendra Pratap Singh and Mr. Ajay Mahajan from BML Munjal
University, Gurugram.
The program commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp ceremony by Ms. Keyuri Gohil (Vice
Principal), Mrs. Bala Sharma, and the Chief Guests, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge
and wisdom.
Students from Forms IX to XII enthusiastically participated in the event. The workshop began
with an insightful session on the Legal Aspects of the Indian Constitution, followed by a Moot
Court session, where students got an opportunity to understand practical applications of
legal principles. A lively Question-and-Answer session allowed students to clarify their
doubts and engage meaningfully with the resource persons.
The Vice Principal, Ms. Keyuri Gohil, delivered a motivating speech, appreciating the efforts
of the guests and encouraging students to develop critical thinking and awareness of
constitutional values.
Teacher escorts for the program were Mrs. Sima Modi, Mr. Abhay Singh, and Mr. Sandeep
Deshmukh, who ensured smooth coordination of the event.
Overall, the workshop and moot court proved to be an enriching experience for the students,
enhancing their understanding of law, justice, and constitutional values.

Standard Writing Competition by Bureau of Indian Standard Club

Mark Twain one said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started”.

On the 17 th September, 2025 (11:00 am to 1:00 pm) The Bureau of Indian Standard, Rajkot Branch organized Standard Writing Competition for the students of class 11 and 12 of The Rajkumar College, Rajkot. Under the guidance of BIS In-charge Mr. Nikunj Maheta, students challenged themselves to step into the shoes of producers
to present their writing skills with knowledge and understanding about given topic. This activity expanded horizon and gave hands on experience of the behind the scene processes. The participants competed to write the best of standard writing in adequate time. They were judged by the panel of school teachers appointed as judges for the competition on the basis of quality, accuracy, authenticity and
adherence to the format. Judges declared first, second and third winners and also one consolation prize and they were awarded cash prizes as well.
This competition complimented our course work and helped us understand it better. We are thankful to BIS Rajkot Branch and Mr. Nikunj Maheta for the
execution and guidance of this event.

On September 15, 2025, a group of inquisitive 11th and 12th-grade students, accompanied by their dedicated escort teacher, embarked on a thought-provoking excursion to Rajkot Dairy and Mother Teresa Ashram. This enriching experience was a perfect blend of innovation and compassion.

At Rajkot Dairy, students gained valuable insights into the intricate process of milk production, from collection to packaging, and learned about the significance of quality control through rigorous lab testing. They discovered the diverse range of milk products and understood the nuances between various types of milk available in the market.

The visit to Mother Teresa Ashram was a poignant and life-changing experience, where students and teachers selflessly donated essential items, fostering a sense of empathy and social responsibility. Interacting with the specially abled children and women, students gained a deeper understanding of the challenges they face daily.

The Mayo Football Tournament (MFT) was held on 14th Sept, 2025 to 20th Sept, 2025 at Mayo college, Ajmer. Our school team participated with great enthusiasm, along with twelve other schools from different parts of India.

Right from the beginning, the atmosphere at the host school’s ground was filled with excitement and energy. Our team played their first match against Emerald Heights and lost the match by 9-2. On the next day we played against Modern School and lost again by 2-0. With excellent coordination and teamwork, our players advanced to the next rounds and won the match against Mayoor School by 7-0 and Veersinh Palaniya was declared the “Player of the match”.

The quarter-final match proved to be a tough challenge against the Host school Mayo college. Though our team fought bravely till the last whistle, we missed the chance to enter the semi-finals by 5-0. Nevertheless, the players displayed remarkable sportsmanship, dedication, and discipline throughout the tournament.

The host school appreciated all teams for their effort and presented trophies and medals to the winners. For our players, it was a memorable experience filled with learning and motivation to perform even better in the future.

The tournament not only strengthened our love for football but also highlighted the importance of teamwork and perseverance.
