Testing out this RunningSnail 4000mAh Emergency NOAA Weather Alert Radio with solar power and back up hand crank. This thing went from completely dead to powering on and receiving NOAA alerts within 1 minute of being in the sun, running purely on solar power.

I decided to start Mountain biking again. This is the bike I built back in 2006, it’s a Gary Fisher Tassajara, which I guess is now vintage. It’s been sitting unused for years, but I blew off the cobwebs and will be giving it some minor upgrades in preparation of trail use again. New tires, tubes, pedals should get me going. Eventually I’ll upgrade to a moderm MTB, but I’m not going to let my lack of modern machinery stop me from getting back into a recreational sport I use to thrive on 20 years ago. Stay tuned for the adventures.
