Changes to Refugees Status.
The Home Secretary has announced that Refugees status will now be reviewed every 30 months
Refugees status will become temporary instead of permanent
Under the new changes , adults and accompanied children claiming asylum from
2 March 2026 will receive 30 months period of protection.
Those whose countries are now deemed safe at review will be expected to return to their home countries.
Refugees who want to stay in Britain and have skills will be able to apply for work and study visas.

The government Overhauls Windrush compensation scheme . The changes will see up to 75% advance payment of final award being made . Priority for elderly and vulnerable including pension compensation for the first time.
