Forward Music was founded in 1995 by famous variety show hostess Chang Hsiao-Yen, her husband Peng Kuo-Hua, music professionals Chen Chih-Yuen and Chen Fu-Ming.
Forward Music successfully built up a talented star, A-Mei, to become Queen of Pop in Pan-China and South East Asia, within 6 studio albums, related live performances, concert tours, and over 35 million albums sold.
Being one of the top independent labels in Taiwan, Forward Music's vision is to bridge old and new, and encourage originality. With the spirit of “insist on good music, in love with good voice,” Forward Music actively fosters new music talents from Mandarin-speaking territories, and keeps pace with international trends.
