No Livestreams This Week on Vanguard Tactics

As many of you will have seen, 11th Edition for Warhammer 40,000 has officially been announced, and here at Vanguard Tactics we are now fully focused on preparing for the next era of the game.

Right now, we are deep into planning the filming for 11th edition, YouTube, members, brand new Academy and Accelerator Course, both will be launching alongside the release of 11th Edition.

Because of this, we’ll be taking a short break from our regular 10th Edition livestream games. This definitely wasn’t an easy decision, as we know how much many of you enjoy the live games each week, and we love producing them. However, to make sure we’re fully prepared for the launch of 11th Edition, and to deliver the highest quality content possible, we need to dedicate our full focus to what’s ahead. Live streams are also a huge challenge for as we don't want to accidentally confuse and muddle the editions.

That said, we’re not leaving a gap in content…

Battle Report!

We have another cinematic, pre recorded battle report in the works as a good bye to 10th edition.

The Vanguard Tactics Podcast is returning!

We’ll be releasing a new episode next Monday, with weekly episodes continuing all the way through to the launch of 11th Edition. The first episode will focus on preparing for the new edition, and how you can stay inspired ready for day one.
Our Members Lounge will also continue every Friday as normal, featuring focused discussion topics and the usual member Q&A sessions. Keep an eye on the Community Page for posts where you can submit your questions.

The Accelerator Course will be available for pre-order very soon, and we’ll share full details as soon as it goes live.

The 11th Edition Academy is already available on our website, and you can secure your place on the next intake using the link below with over 50% of the spaces sold already.

This week, we’re diving into competitive list building for Codex-compliant Space Marine Chapters. If you’re familiar with our Core 400 system for building balanced armies, we’ll be exploring how this framework applies to Space Marines, and how we’d adapt it for different Chapters when running their own detachments.

The Pinnacle of My Career

It’s hard to put the last week into words.

Nine months of dedicated focus, planning, preparation, and deep thinking have come to a close.

I was invited to be a guest lecturer at the School of Advanced Military Studies, a place reserved for some of the most capable, intelligent, and hard-working military officers.

To be trusted in that environment was a genuine privilege.

Over the past nine months, I developed my own methodology for strategy.

Something that could be taught.

Something that could be applied.

I delivered that methodology to faculty and students, with 16 officers going through a deeper programme, using Warhammer as a vehicle and framework to explore decision-making and planning.

From there, it was over to them to translate those lessons into the real world.

I also had the opportunity to present to the Board of Directors of the Command and General Staff College Foundation, who supported and funded the entire trip.

We wrapped up the week with a podcast, interviews, and a paint-and-take event for over 70 people and families at Fort Leavenworth.

It’s been an honour to play even a small part in the education of SAMS students.

And there are a few people I need to thank.
• Matt Yandura for seeking me out and making this happen
• The SAMS faculty for the welcome and support throughout
• The students outstanding individuals; our countries are in safe hands
• The Command and General Staff College Foundation for backing this opportunity

And to the partners who made the community events possible:

A week I won’t forget.

And one that’s raised the bar for what’s possible going forward.

I have personally been on a journey and developed from feeling like an imposter to being inspired to continue.
