One thing I like the most about Plants vs Zombies 2: Reflourished

Is that, the creator of this mod has also created his own characters (or NPCs, if you prefer) and uses them for various events (like Halloween, Christmas, etc.)

Let me introduce them to you


Zombert


He is Dr. Zomboss' dimwitted, lazy and vacant nephew. Rather than becoming an evil scientist or a competent CEO like his family members, he has instead chosen to become a streamer and plays video games all day. Despite this, he is still loved by Zomboss' mother, and has attacked Dave and Penny on a few occasions (albeit not being fully aware as to what’s going on). He lacks strategy and simply does whatever he wants, but has a potential to be a threat due to his unpredictability and his ignorance to the consequences of his actions that he has created, forcing the protagonists to clean up his mess.


General Camo


He is a self-proclaimed high ranking, war-loving zombie who used to be Zomboss' best general before being sent back in time for constantly criticising the his strategies. Since his expulsion, Camo has become bitter and senile, seeking to take his revenge to remove Dr. Zomboss from power for not meeting his standards, and tries to replicate Zomboss' army by imitating their technologies and recruiting heroes. He is very strategic, organized and knows what he is doing but he is quick to rage, stubborn, and seeks for others' approval for being the best.


The Nanny


She is a tired, bitter zombie whom Dr. Zomboss has tricked enacted her as the head of his Imp Division in the orphanage. Because of this, she grew extremely dissatisfied and exhausted from her job, blaming Dr. Zomboss for ruining her life and taking away her future while she secretly makes plans to kill him to get out of her loathsome position.

She sees her Imps and other childish Zombies as pests and is willing to send as many of them as possible to their deaths to ease her job demands and her sadistic satisfaction. She constantly smokes, resulting in a nasty cough, and constantly curses whoever annoys her even the slightest bit.


The Anti-Bully Squad


They are a trio of three college students from Dr. Zomboss' old university. They consist of the leader Stilts the Imp being the brains of the operations, Greg-gantuar the Gargantuar being the voice of reason, and Mr. Grim Brim the Zombie being the group's Yes-Man.

Getting tired of Dr. Zomboss' relentless bullying during their university days, the trio begins planning their ways to get revenge on Dr. Zomboss by humiliating him. At times they will often work with other NPCs in hopes of showing their true potential and worth.

Despite being college students, they have been held back constantly for unknown reasons possibly due to them lacking of organization in their strategies, and their mischief.

Hunterria


She is a cave-zombie from the Cenozoic Savannah and is one of Dr. Zomboss' most trusted and loyal general. With her wolf companion Wolfy by her side, she uses her primitive skills to do her boss' dirty work. Unlike the other NPCs, she is willing to show her full commitment and respect to her leader whatever is needed to complete her objectives to satisfy her leader. She treats her army and her animals with great respect and takes full responsibility in taking care of them.

She lives in "the way of the hunter" code, and believes in mutualism in which if one takes care and provides worth to others. She believes in a fair fight while also trying to persuade Crazy Dave and Penny into believing in her skills.


Miss Information


She is the head of the ZCorp's media division, using her position has the leading hostess of the show to spread misinformation to create confusion and panic, and gather intel to manipulate and exploit her opponents' weaknesses. She is very bombastic spokeswoman and plays up the camera, always starting and ending her broadcasts with the same highly spirited energy. She also has an assistant named Jeremy, although he is never seen.

She enjoys manipulating Dave, Penny and The Player, and other NPCs by setting up scenarios to mislead and trick them into humiliating themselves, messing up their strategies, eliminating her competitions, or just being a general nuisance. She doesn't trust that Dr. Zomboss is in touch with his audiences and hence which is why she wants him out of his position.


Lucky


He is an egotistical and charismatic *Scottish* Irish zombie with almost supernatural ties to luck and fortune caused by his exposure to the explosion from Zomboss' Luck Machine, Lucky uses his good luck and his charisma to lead his fans to victory by constantly trying to gain the upper hand through luck manipulation, and letting others to do his own dirty work without having to do it himself, or by pure coincidences.

Lucky loves having attention directed to him, taking credits of others' accomplishments as his, showing off his fame and riches, and feels that his strong influence of his loyal fans and his luck are enough to guide him to become the true leader.

Despite his extreme luck, he can still be put into his place if his luck doesn't go in his way, adapting and overcoming his obstacles, or by running out of his luck power had he not been exposed to the luck machine for long enough.


Greedy


He is a mob mafioso boss Imp driven by greed and obsession to own everything in the world. He controls the zombie underworld by conducting illegal activities around Neighborville with the help of his loyal goons whom he treats as his "family," and is willing to use brute force, theft, and one-sided trades to get what he wants.

It reminds me of one summer day in the park. I was having just a delightful picnic with my good friend Magus. And I said to her, I said, "Magus, I... I have a story." And she said to me, "What's the significance of the story?" And... I said to her, "Magus, not every story has to have significance, y'know? Sometimes, a... y'know, sometimes, a story's just a story. You try to read into every little thing, and find meaning in everything anyone says, you'll just drive yourself crazy. Had a friend do it once. Wasn't pretty. We talked about it for years. And then not only that, but... you'll likely end up believing something you shouldn't believe, thinking something you shouldn't think, o-o-or assuming something you shouldn't assume. Y'know? Sometimes," I said, "A story is-is just a story, so just be quiet for one second of your life and eat your sandwich, okay?" Of course, it was only then I'd realized I'd made sandwiches, and... poor Magus was having such difficulty eating it! Torterras have those clumsy hands, y'know? Actually, I-I suppose that's the problem. They don't have hands at all, do they? They're f—they're all feet! And I-I couldn't imagine someone asking me to eat a sandwich with my feet. Now, if I recall correctly, there was a bakery nearby. I said to her, "Magus, let me go get you some rye bread." Now, I'm unsure if Torterras enjoy rye bread, but I assure you that Magus does. Now, this was on a Tuesday, which was good, because rye bread was always fresh on Tuesday. They made sourdough bread on Monday, and threw it out Wednesday... Or rather, they sold it at a discount for people wanting to feed it to the ducks, and then, prob'ly at the end of the day, finally, they threw it all out. I-I don't recall. I do remember a man who would bring his son to the bakery every Wednesday, and... then go feed the ducks. He would buy all of the sourdough bread. Of course, y'know, you're not supposed to feed the ducks sourdough bread at all. It swells up in their stomach, and then they all die. At, uh, at least... at least, that's what I've heard. Y'know, I-I never saw any ducks die myself, but I did notice a substantial decrease in the duck population over the course of a few years. I just never thought to stop the man and tell him that he was killing the ducks by feeding them sourdough bread! And if you want my opinion on the matter—heh, and I told Magus this as well—if you wanna feed ducks, or birds of any kind, for that matter, it's best to buy seed. I mean, when you think about it, breads of any sort don't occur in nature. They don't grow on trees o-or spring up from the bushes. I don't think birds know what to do with bread. What was I saying? Oh oh, yes yes. So I bought Magus some rye bread. What a fine day it was.”
